ARACHNOIDITIS,Spine Punctures/Edidurals and

Many people haven't heard of it yet but those who have it know it well. Arachnoiditis has quite a few causes but most people who have it, have had a needle puncture to the spine, a trauma, surgeries, dye from Myelograms. Mine comes from the dye and followed up by the surgeries.
To find a doctor who specializes in this appears impossible, so if anyone knows let me know please, so I can pass it on and use it myself. I didn't learn about the dye remaining in my body until I had to have an ultrasound and the tech told me you still have it, I can see it. That was about twelve years later an the first time I learned about how the dye remains.
This arachnoiditis causes so much pain in all areas of your body it can make you nuts, so I prefer to be nuts anyway, so I can't tell why I am behaving like a nut. Kidding of course, but when I say make you nuts, it makes you feel like a hypochondriac. Each new pain makes you think, I better get this checked out. Am I having ---whatever is happening at the time and how you relate it to whatever.
Trying to search a new symptom I learned women who have epidurals also have a high incidence of having or getting it years down the road. Ladies find a lawyer. When I learned of mine I was told the law would not accept any lawsuits because there are so many with arachnoiditis. I should have tried anyway because a doctor told me this and I trusted him.
I had my first and second surgery at York Hospital in York PA. The doctor, who passed away ten days after the second surgery left plastic, blood vessel clips and a three inch piece of plastic just laying near and on my spine. I was very fortunate that all I suffered with the following three years was pain.
York Hospital's Steve Littleson, told me to get a lawyer and speak to their risk nurse, that there was no reason in the file that gave as any reason for anything to be left in my back. This also added more scar tissue. I did see a lawyer almost a year and a half later(after a third surgery ) who told me, everyone loved that doctor and you won't win. I easily gave up as I was also easily intimidated in those years. The third surgery took place at James Lawrence Kernan hospital in Baltimore, suggested by someone in my church. The young woman who suggested it was Dr, Malinas' nurse and he operated on her too, leaving her damaged. Dr. Robert Layne and Dr. Robert Abrams did a fusion and removed the objects. Dr. Layne told me, I can't believe old Steve would do this, and what was he thinking, as in Dr. Steve Malina.
It took years for me to understand all that was involved and who was involved. A medical community to protect each other in the medical profession and the hospital. Why didn't I think then about all of those in the room during surgery. Who was responsible? Everyone. What happens when it attacks:
*** Feelings of knives stabbing you in the groin, rib and back area
***Sweats, nausea, numbness in legs and feet
***Needles and pins in legs and feet
***Feeling of bugs crawling up you legs
With each new symptom a visit to the doctor, who pays? We do.Donations accepted gratefully at pay pal to Doozybags to help with medical bills.

If I had to do it all over again, I would never, ever have another surgery for my back. By the way, this also happens in the neck. Ladies, moms, women, do whatever you need to do to avoid an epidural. It will save you a life time of pain.
By the way, I never recovered any compensation at all, not even an apology. That's York Hospital. Medical expenses rise as well know, but when it's the fault of a hospital, it's good to research all about these things, at your specific hospital.

Pancreatic Cancer 90% Accuracy

This was known within the last six months, at least for TV so how long before that, I don't know. Who discovered it? His name is Jack Andraka and he was 15 at the time. He discovered a Biomarker for pancreatic cancer which has a 90 % accuracy rate. SO, if he could do that,a teen, a kid, why didn't the scientific researchers do this years ago with all of the money donated for such illnesses? Business? God forbid a cure would be discovered ! See more.
Then we have Yamini Naidu who at 17 yrs old, has discovered a new and better way to treat meth addictions. Better yet we have 17 yr. old Brittany Wenger who developed a way to detect 99.9 % of the time, Breast cancer, 5 % more than anyone else.
Also there is Amy Chyao who discovered a way to treat skin cancer-she was 18 when I last saw her on TV but I saw her concerning this two years ago !!! It's called Photo dynamic Cancer.
Last I have a 13-14 yr.old who developed an innovative way to help the hearing impaired  hear music and improve the ability to feel music.
These are kids ! Maybe we are paying the wrong people ! After all how many years did it takes these grown men and women to complete school, while the kids are still in school. Does the government and pharmaceutical firms benefit from lack of discoveries? I think I refer to rely on the truth from these kids.

Lyme Disease feels like...

I found out all it took was a blood test to know if I had Lyme disease or not. For months before, many, many months, I was feeling so tired and knew that wasn't like me at all. My joints hurt and many times I felt like I was just going to pass out. The symptoms are different in many and the same in many.
Every doctor has a different opinion on the effects and will treat it accordingly, but all you have to do is ask for a blood test for Lyme disease. There are a few blogs on this and one lady has a lot of info, so search it out. Doctors are human and make mistakes, so help yourself, get tested.
The tick that bit me got in between my toes and when I ripped it out it felt like Velcro coming apart. I never thought much more about it because I never noticed that rash that people talk about.
Yet it seemed like a year later I was having all kinds of feeling, sometimes thinking I just don't have any motivation. I'd sit on the sofa and suddenly couldn't even sit up, fall back down and sleep. Waking up I was as tired as when I first sat down. Thoughts of age, depression, all kind of nutty thoughts went through me.
I was so glad when I had that blood test, because a tick bite can affect your heart and other organs if left untreated. When it came back positive I felt relief and was given a strong antibiotic. In a few days I was back to myself.
Get tested, if for nothing else to get it off your mind.

Jesus, First Vegetarian? Whole foods, no preservatives

I don't know what we really know about how long people lived back then, but Christians believe in The Bible and certainly many lived to be well over a hundred and even two hundred.
So food couldn't have had preservatives in them. What about milk. How was it taken, if at all? Wine was a beverage used, but probably, water was the regular. They ate a lot of fish and beans. So do we model after Jesus, after all He rose again. Now that's good health.

Just a note about Easter. I listened to the 700 club today and Pat Robertson explained the myth of Easter having to do with stuff I can't even remember but eons ago some clan of people believed in bunnies having to do with long health relating to people and Spring. I wish I could be more clear about this. Anyway through the years two lands fought over Spring, health and bunnies, and Pat Robertson honestly said, I don't know how they came about with the word Easter, but this bunny thing and the fact that Jesus died and rose again, all happened close to the same time as in Spring,  not years.
    Something to think about.
P.S. What if you don't believe in Jesus? Eat well anyway. Life is short.

GYNO & Smell ...

What do you think this is about? Nooooo....Here is what it is about. Ladies, when you see your obgyn do you ever think about odors and being clean enough? Sure ya do, don't most people with a sound mind. Well about a month ago a female gyno doc was a guest on Oz, that's Dr. Oz to you, oh call him what you will. So the questions was asked to this doc, what offends you most about your patients and she very bluntly answered, the smell. AT that point they took a break. Yup, to make sure you come back.
So when they come back they repeat the question, all TV bull crapola, and he asks again, so what is this odor that offends you? Is it...and she smiles and answers, not what you think Dr. Oz. IT's Smelly FEET !!!
It Makes sense, doesn't it ? So ladies and men too, when you have to see doctors for those ever so personal visits, check other areas in the same proximately for freshness. When you bend, don't offend :)

Famous Judge, Her son and the Media

First, The Media SUCKS BIG TIME!!! Why even mention Judge Judy? I say it now as it's already out, but notice I didn't use it as a heading in my post. The media tries to tie in all kinds of crap. Basically the story is this guy roomed with another guy, and a sheriff suggests a lot of help is being given to the alleged rapist who supposedly raped a twelve year old. She is now 15 and just bringing charges.
People want to know why now. I'll tell you why now, because at twelve years old a kid is afraid and I'm surprised she has what it takes now to do this. You know how many years it takes victims of all kids of abuse to talk? Do you, idiots who ask why so long?
The judge doesn't have anything to do with this and it appears. I say appears the sheriff has it in for her son-yet who really knows. Two men shared a home and that is the key to this whole nasty story. People are throwing stone who are jealous or have nothing better to do.
The Media who sucks is focusing more on the relationship/friendship of the two men rather than the victim. Shame on them! One guy helps another out by offering him a place to live, families knew each other for years, but you and I both know, you never really know anyone. No one knows yet if this guy raped this girl, just him and the girl. So Media pricks, stay focused on the case, the child, the alleged rapist. All that other crap can be addressed at a later time or do you have nothing better to do.

Why Old People Get Married.

So don't get mad okay, but no one admits the real reasons. It's almost like being kids again...oh we love each other. Sure that may be true in may cases, maybe even all cases, situations, people in love.
But many oldsters marry due to companionship, finances, or needing a cook and housekeeper. Those are the things that, I bet if you asked before marrying, things would change in a hurry. If one future spouse asked the other, so you still are doing your own cooking right? You're still doing your own cleaning right? You're still doing your own wash and grocery shopping right?
Bet many would back out. I know, I know it should all be shared, but it seems the woman gets a bridal gift of, care taking cleaning, cooking & dishes and doing the wash. The men get car repairs if they're able. So split it, evenly. I know one old woman who married an older man for money. She was sixty-five and he is in his eighties, now close to the other side. Even young kids had a theory on why she married him as she is pretty active. He owns a lot of property property. She will be very secure and to be honest she also had a few properties of her own. I wonder how she obtained it all. Be careful in choosing your spouse. Even Steven.
A last thought. When you marry as an older person, you are also accepting each others lifelong habits-yuck!

Now this is a Healthy Pasta !

I started with rotini, that mixed vegetable kind, but it wasn't whole wheat (hurried shopping) had a baked chicken breast in the fridge, cut and threw that in, a can of garbanzo beans, red grapes, and broccoli florets. Hard boiled eggs were almost finished, so when done, cut and chopped a few in the mix and topped it off with a sprinkle of garlic powder and fat free balsamic vinegar. It is delicious.

New Bags ! Sinners get ready !

Okay I am joking about sinners, but he who is without...Anyway I am getting ready for my new website sometime this week and making a few bags I thought were cute. The Dice bag has an inside zipper pocket, is a tote with two good sized handles, is 22.00 incl S&H
Now the next bag is for the Ladies Wines. We all hate those brown bags don't we. Everyone knows what we have as we skulk around to see who's looking :) Imagine bumping into the local Pastor? Anyway, this bag is 18.00 incl S&H, a tote, just right for two bottles or knitting, or magazines  and anything you want.
Thank you have a great snowy day. What a great day to be outside, my kind of Viking Weather !!!

Why We Date Who We Do !

Some years ago a man told me if I sat in the middle of the room with all men, a handful would pick me out and they would never treat me as I deserve. I asked why. This guy who is a  minister of sorts and counselor, didn't charge people so he didn't have an ulterior motive. His answer was simple. He said because they can read you and know how you feel about yourself without even speaking.
He asked me about marriage and did I pick out husbands or boyfriends. It was true, I never picked them out, they chose me, hence I am now single and for a very long time.
So who are you dating and how are you treated? Are you so low on the totem pole that you think, well I've had so many partners this is who I deserve. BULL!!! What about the one you are seeing now? Is he or she someone who has also had many partners? Maybe you shouldn't wear white, but it doesn't mean you deserve to be treated like an old trash can. You're human and life goes by as fast as you snap your fingers.
Man or woman if you continually get a person who treats you like last weeks news, run, run fast.
Men will say, oh she's nothing but a whore, so what does that make him? They will also say she's a great girl yet treat her like crap, so what's wrong with him and why do you take it? It's still a double-standard game.
It works the other way too. Some women get the nicest guy in the world, marry them and a few years later treat him like a septic system. He's good for his paycheck, but not much else and suddenly the nice she she loved has become a weak mouse of a man because he won't argue with her and stand his ground. Then the kids even disrespect him and that too works both ways, so figure it all out before you get married, before you get engaged and definitely before you ring kids into the world who are trying to figure out what kind of people they model after..I accept donations to Doozybags through paypal for my wonderful advice :) Really. Hey life gets shorter by the second at my age.

Destiny Howdyshell, Country Star

Just a very young lady she is making a name for herself at The Grand Old Opry in Nashville and I have to say, I wish it was me, or at the least she'd sing my songs.
Destiny Howdyshell is the daughter Todd Howdyshell, a family who lives in seven Valleys Pa. I've know Todd for many years and what a great guy he is which makes me know his daughter will succeed. Can you imagine? Nashville ? Standing on stage at the Opry take courage and talent which Destiny Howdyshell has.
Small Towns make big people and that's not to say anything different about big towns as I come from Brooklyn NY. But somehow I think people expect kids to stay in small towns, be content, follow generations of farmers, teachers etc. Why shouldn't she reach out beyond the Valleys? No reason at all, not one to be found.
Spread your wings and fly Destiny. Soar with the eagles Destiny and congratulations on your journey.

Molester Moves Next door to Victim

His name is Oliver Larry Beck. He is 65years old and was convicted of indecent assault of a person under the age of thirteen. He spent 23 months in prison, but when he got out was allowed to move back home.
Back home is his house right next door to this child !!!! This is in upper Milford County PA. How is this allowed. This is a child molester and is allowed to go back home to the same home next to his victim.
Every day Oliver Larry Beck lives in that home that poor child has daily reminders of this no good pedophile. He is now on Megan's Law list. There has to be an answer to get him out, away from the child, away from children.
The mom of the victim wants to try to force the pervert to buy her home so they can move away because who want to live near a child molester, except other molesters. The state can't force this to happen, but what she can do is sue his filthy self to the nth degree, and he'll say he only has his home as an asset, so she won't get any money, but she can put  a lien on his home for the full amount of the lawsuit and when he dies, she will then get what her child is owed.
But, in the meantime, what can she do ? Can she and her husband move elsewhere? Sure if they can afford it and then rent the home to singles. There is an island that holds only child molesters of the worst kind and yes, some are worse than others, maybe he can move there.
Perverts who do this should be made to sell their home and give it to the victim, but mostly what I'd like to know is how is he allowed to move back to his home, next to the person, the child, the victim, again so he continues to victimize??? One last note. Twenty-three months is not enough for stealing a childs life, the one they are born with. It's a good thing he doesn't live in Brooklyn!!!

Yo Meredith !

Viera that is. She is so kool. This is a lady who is down to earth and has lived a life of loving a man with a debilitating illness. See, it isn't all about money. She stands with her husband, sits by with stays with him and most of all loves him. Meredith Viera is one classy lady and I know many men are the same. This isn't a gender thing, just a good person thing.
We hear so much Crapola about Hollywood stars cheating, divorcing , drugs and alcohol. While that's real life issues, it just sticks out more because of the celebrity in these people. I would love to win a million dollars if just to do good with it and sure, help a few family members ad maybe buy myself an SUV or small truck. Cars have always been my downfall. You must have money, good friends or something better to maintain a decent vehicle.
But what would you do with a million? I'd be very happy to show you what I would do, so just send it to my pay pal at Doozybags. I'll send you a surprise in return.

Can you reach your....

Okay I have to make this short. You know what I'm talking about, so if you can't reach that place, it's time to lose weight. I know too much time on my hands, but how do  people who are so overweight reach that place ? By the way, if dogs are following you, they are smelling what you can't reach. Get off the couch and on the treadmill.
    P.S. I know what I'm talking about :)

Mormons, Irish, Italians, Swedes, Polish, Senderos

Many of these backgrounds have one thing in common. They believe in keeping it in the family. By that I mean the cultural and ethnic family. I grew up in New York and love the variety of cultures because as the human race, we need each other and should be there to help another person. That's my personal belief.
I look at ancestry.com and see old world families and yes, you might now be saying, that was then, we live in a different world now. True and in many ways it's sad. Generations of Asians were always proud when a daughter married into her culture as is the way with Italians. Mama would say to a son, now bring home a nice Italian girl. Then what follows are the babies in Christening dresses, years of family photos, all Italian. Family celebrations were all Italian.
Yesterday I saw an old movie with Billy Crystal, who played a young doctor. His father who he didn't see for years was dying. The dad played by Alan--- for got his last name, an old comedian, but is Jewish as is Billy. Billy's girlfriend in this was a Christian and as a joke would address each other as, Hey Christian, hey Jewish. That seemed fine, and maybe because they looked alike.
A polish family I knew growing up had a Christmas party and I worked at a polish store where kielbasa was made. So one night I went home with my friend and was introduced to the biggest Polish family I ever saw and ouzo. Mom and dad and big brother got into an argument about another daughters boyfriend. He was Spanish, and when my friend got the camera out, at that moment the boyfriend walked in and all hell broke loose. The father started yelling, no, no he is not in pictures in broken English.
CRAPOLA, he sounded like my father who gave my sister a list of people she better not ever bring home.
Maybe it was that kind of upbringing that allowed me to be open to everyone. Who was I not to? My best friends as a kid was a lifelong friend my Jewish neighbor, Mr. Korsun, my Lutheran Norwegian minister and my Catholic Italian Grammar school principal, love of my life. I was blessed. It all comes down to who we identify with  and who we're comfortable with.
As a last note, when I worked in Mental Health, we offered all kinds of groups and the population consisted of mainly white people, a few black people and a few Asian people. But there was another big group room called Senderos.
This group was Puerto Rican. I would visit that room daily, sometime twice a day and if a staff was out, I would work with that group. Why? I was comfortable and maybe because I saw how uncomfortable others were. seek out what you may not know about. you may be happily surprised.

Hardway or The Highway

At what point does it hit you that your family is just freeloading? Well this isn't just about that but when I saw how these freaking freeloaders think they're entitled to lay claim to other peoples homes while they're away or a home is empty....well what kind of bull---- is that?
They claim religion, entitlement, homesteading ! Send in Judge Judy !!!
These are not people who are taking advantage of an opportunity like you and I would, these are just people who take. When you and I see an opportunity, we usually pay in some way. These free loaders wants us to pay !
Look at people who are homeless but have cell phones. I've seen them! One guy sat and just smiled as he asked for money while he was on the phone. If I had the nerve I would have leaned over and taken some of that donated money to send to St. Judes. These people are parasites. So glad I heard that word again because that's all they are.
Let the government dress them up and send them to Afghanistan. They won't be homeless anymore and maybe become human. Okay get off your high horse, I'm not talking about the true homeless, people who really suffer, people who feel shame about losing their lives to the streets, shelters, cars and where the economy has destroyed families.
Those poor people deserve a helping hand, because they at one time and maybe are still trying to live like decent people. Now take a look at your own family. Do you have a brother or sister who just hangs out all the time, finally moves in, no job, watches TV all day, eats everything is sight, doesn't help around the house or outside. Here is my advice:
Before you address them, make sure you can go through with it. Make a list of what they have to do in order to live free in your home if you don't want your blood pressure to go up including getting a job and have a timetable to move. Also find out about shelters in your areas or other areas. Be prepared!
After you talk to your advantage taking person and give a time limit too, and they do nothing, pack them up and drive them to a shelter. Get ready to have your locks changed. They won't leave? Check the law. You might have to give a legal eviction notice. See what you get for helping.
Sorry about that. I do believe in helping all you can, but not in others helping themselves while you work, cook, take care of the kids, pay bills and do what most good people do. So make it, the hard way or the highway. Then you'll have peace.Maggieshelpcenter.com

Oz's Wife GREAT!!! Oregano oil-Parasites

I think I saw her on his show before and I couldn't help but think how she compares to Dr. Phil's wife. First the huge difference is Oz. who is a Heart Surgeon and Phil is a mental health professional, psychologist? Oz doesn't appear cocky...enough said about the men. The wives. Mrs. McGraw just appears too fake looking and to be fair, maybe I'm jealous but she always has a vanity screen on her face, and it's too obvious. She is probably a very nice woman, yet kind of plastic. Again, maybe because I'm, well...I'll drop that too. Yeah...I know how I sound.
Now Mrs. Dr. OZ..never got her first name, but this woman appears down to earth, very pretty, not swathed in make-up and not dramatic. I watch Mrs. Oz look at her husband and it's realistic while he looks at her so lovingly. She has talents which work with his life and I'm not too sure what it is as I came in to the show late. She was doing reflexology on OZ with Reflexology socks on him.
Mrs. Oz has many good ideas about health and this family uses them. The biggest thing today was parasites and it's a good idea to get a test. Here Mrs. Oz lived with back pain for eight years an no one knew why. Finally it was found she had parasites.
Oil of Oregano kills parasites. The OZ family suggests to add a drop on your toothbrush and you can then add a tiny bit of toothpaste to cover the taste.
This is a first for me, but todays' show is worthwhile to look up, read the information about parasites and worms. Over 6 billion people have worms and close to that with parasites. Honestly I don't remember the number as I am just tired, but this was important to get out. Please read the Dr. Oz show for today and then get tested for parasites and worms.
Note: In case you didn't know, a vanity screen is place in front of actors and actresses to give their complexion a smooth look-check out NCIS with Mark Harmon-all of the characters, well just about, look as if they don't have a blemish or a wrinkle, just nice pure smooth skin. Oh lord, send me a vanity screen.

Cardinal W.F. Napier, CRAPOLA

This was on my screen today when I went on line. This Cardinal has the thought process that molestation is not a crime but an illness and should be treated as such. Only after another man of the cloth, an archbishop challenged Napiers statement did Napier add a switch to his feelings about children being molested, yet he also stated that most who molest have been molested. SO WHAT!
Many who have been molested DON'T do what was done to them but go on to protect other children from pedophiles. Napier states they are not pedophiles but have an illness. This was on a radio station where he was filling in for Cardinal Dolan. Maybe Dolan should ask what the topic will be before radio time, and now as I write this I think differently. Dolan a seemingly good guy may have stopped Napier and we may never have known how Napier feels.
I can't help but think if Napier is getting ready to protect either himself or someone else. Sure pedophiles need treatment, but it is still very much a crime. A crime committed by those closest to the child, such as a parent or people in authority, and may times a friendly neighbor.
In the end Napier admitted that Pedophiles have an illness and the illness should be treated and the molestation is a crime. CRAPOLA!!! He only said this after pressure from the church. Politics.

Yea Hank Greenburg 87yrs old

I have been listening to Charlies Rose with Hank Greenburg. This man whom I've never heard of before, makes me wish I knew him years ago. I can learn from him. He had something to do with AIG, lost 90 % of his holdings when they fired him.
But what this gentleman is so pissed off at is the Government taking, taking from a private company, without giving concerns of AIG, telling them they will fire someone, not Hank Greenburg at the time, and then that man who was to be fired, was to sign a paper. That man refused, so the government had someone else sign this paper, and he then resigned three days later.
Hank Greenburg said something to tehe effect we should then just smile and eat our rice. Good one. That concerned the government just taking property.

Sound confusing? It is to me too, but for some reason I understood as it went along in the interview. I didn't hear it from the start, but the end result is Hank Greenburg is suing the government for wrong doing. YEA!!!
Good for you Hank Greenburg for doing what is right, for trying to undo a wrong. I hope you win a million times over again! You are who more Americans should strive to be like. Let the principle win, Let Hank Greenburg win!

I Dare Ya...

I 've listed already what I am doing every day, Five good things.
            Healthy breakfast
work on my books(one finished titled, Reverend Joe and the Road Crew, takes place in Brooklyn )
            11:00 a.m. workout two hours
work on sewing bags for new site
            Now the 5th thing
for me is to work on my house, something different every day. I have a small house, and only me for now, two rooms pretty nice, with one completely finished. The rest needs new carpeting, and a great new bed would be nice, a new kitchen floor and just those "things."
On any days I don't complete all five I will make  a point to do good for someone else which I try anyway. Yet I find myself going out a lot less lately.

Another issue I need to do more of is add traffic toMaggieshelpcenter.com
Any ideas?
Oh, here is a good deed today, if you live in the York Pa. area and need repairs to your home, contact Ron Myrnes. He is fair, honest and ethical and this guy can do just about anything at all. 717-887-4219

Live Your Illness

How many people live in fear someone will find out, yet we are in an age of tell all, be all you can be. Yet when it comes to a mental illness too many hide and try to act as if everything is okay. Don't. You do more harm to yourself than good.
                           Maggieshelpcenter.com
How do you pick and choose a therapist? Ask. Go to a few different therapists and ask them questions. You are paying. your insurance is paying for the time. So you deserve answers. Ask about them as far as do they have issue with their own families and if you get an answer like, we're not here to talk about me, we're here to talk about you, then they are evading.
No one is perfect and you need to know they have empathy from life experiences, not from a book and  a degree and with that, in my opinion you want to look for someone not out of school, but someone with at least ten to fifteen years experience. By then they will have learned more about life, failures, celebrations and better ways to treat and really listen to those who pay them.
Also ask what do they think about meds vs. self help with therapy. You can't just walk in and like washing your hands, walk out better. You have to live your illness, face it and work on it every day.

Eric Holder Hates Home Schooling

Germany, Sweden and Eric Holder. If Eric Holder wants to use Germany and Sweden as models then he and his kids, sorry kids, but I bet you are grown and so it doesn't pertain to you anymore, or Eric Holder is so busy he isn't able to home school, so move Eric Holder to Germany or Sweden.
Children are removed from parents homes when they don't comply. Not in every case, but one family in Germany lost custody but allowed the kids to remain at home. Another family lost their children to foster care in Sweden because the parents home schooled.
What is Eric Holder afraid of, taxes? I don't know because even if you don't have kids in school you still pay school taxes. Who is he to tell us how to educate our kids?
Hey ERIC! How about all of those repeat and long time welfare offenders ?Force them to go back to school and not paid for by the state either, but the same way most people go back to school, loans and grants. What are you afraid of? Kids are being educated, loved, individually cared for , and not bullied or eating junk food for lunch and possible have religious instruction to boot?
Do you think we'll have teachers no longer employed? NO we won't. Not many parents are able to home school, but those who are, leave them the hell alone !!!

Hot Soup Lawsuits, Crapola! Reach the table?

OMG !!! When I saw this on the news this morning, I just about thought...well can't say that here. Two doctors were also brought on, against the soup companies !
What about Parental responsibility? The little boy who was burned and the burns looked awful, needed three or four skin grafts. This little guy was three years old. How many responsible parents take soup from a microwave and stick it, as is in front of a child who can barely reach the table? Worse than that, the mom says she turned her back and her daughter passed it to him, so again, who is responsible. This was an accident, plain and simple. Painful I'm sure and I'd be mad as hell if it happened to my child-but I would be mad at me because I didn't do what was right.
That parent should not have even put it close to the child until she put it in another dish and cooled it off. What the freak is the matter with this? Blame a soup company because you are not doing what you should be doing?
There is such a thing as preventative measures. What did mom do first to prevent her son from this terrible accident?
     Did she:
leave it on the counter to cool off
Put in into another bowl to cool off
                        Stay with it herself- or-
leave it on the table and walk away/turn her back ?
Responsibility in today's society is-get a lawyer ! Whatever she wins and she probably will as a nuisance suit, should go into an account until the child is twenty-one. He suffered, just him.

Crystal Light, Good ?

If you like artificial colors and artificial sweeteners, then go for it. First read the labels, and then check out what kind of sweetener they use and the damages it causes and then look at the dyes. Dyes in foods, and beverages have been known for a very long time to cause ADD. We have had warnings about artificial sweeteners causing or aggravating triggers to increase cancers.
There are many beverages out there to enjoy, but read the labels and know what you're putting in your mouth, teeth and liver. The best beverage is as we all know is water. I am by far not perfect, but am very conscious as each day passes what is better to eat or drink than what I, want, to eat or drink. Yes, I falter at times, but I know, once I started Forks over Knives, I was not only healthier, but happier. That took about five days for me to notice something changed.
Then I realized it was me, but what caused it? What was I doing different? It was the food. I ate oatmeal with cinnamon and nuts, or scrambled eggs, a chicken sandwich which I use a n inexpensive slicer, add mustard and for supper, sweet potatoes, vegetable and maybe a salad too. Sometimes I made whole wheat pasta, added fruits and vegetables with a little drizzle of oil and vinegar.
Good luck with small changes. By the way, this isn't just about Crystal Light, but about any beverage with anything added that isn't natural.

Ohio Rape Case

Have you followed this case? Some will, probably more in Ohio. It will be those who are directly affected by this, all of the families. The town seems only to worry about the name they are getting instead of the victim. If they would only ask this of themselves and answer honestly, what if that was my daughter?

This is my opinion. Many cases also convict the witness, the people who stood by, said nothing, did nothing, drunk or sober, they knew. In a very large case at Penn State and yes I know I'm talking miles apart here, but look who was fired for not doing enough, or turning their backs. Deservedly so,  especially when we're talking about children.
So now again this is about children. Another form of bullying, assault, a demeaning action, brave football players, male species. What the hell is wrong with Sports when men or young men behave like this and feel they should get away with it by blaming the victim !!!!
Sure she was drunk, so drunk she couldn't willingly participate. She was pulled apart!
She was spread eagled by legs and arms while others watched! They did nothing. Why have they not been arrested too for depraved indifference????
The town should come together in defense of the victim, and yes I know moms and dads don't want to believe their sons would do what they did. If any "thing" is to blame here, it's alcohol and no matter what, people need to pay for their crimes. This girl will live a long time with the shame of all of this and so must the perpertrators. If not, can you picture this? A bunch of big guys walking out of the court room, smiling, hugging, laughing and slapping one another on the back and saying to each other, hey man, we got off, that B----- almost got us.
Is that how you raised your son?

Rock n' Roll for Jesus

Rock n’ Roll for Jesus

I wake up in the morning

And knows He’s close to me

So I pick up my guitar

And strum on bended knee

They tell me I am just a kid

And don’t know any better

But Jesus is my savior

In every kind of weather

I wake up in the morning

And Know He’s close to me

Jesus is my savior

I Rock N Roll for Thee

Jesus is my savior

I sing on bended knee

I’ll rock n’ Roll for my Lord

Who gave His life for me.

I Rock n’ Roll for Jesus who gave His life for me.

Greenhouses in Schools-an Answer

A year ago I asked the local schools why they don't have gardens which would be used well for kids who want to learn culinary art or gardening and even social work. I was told because we don't have summer school so no one to attend any gardens.
My idea is to start building Greenhouses at schools. If they have so much money to build many outdoor stadiums for football, and scholarships for sports, why not take some of that money and build a healthy future? An academic school could also work with a vocational school in the building process. In addition I know places such as Lowe's and Home Depot give donations and or charge a lesser amount for supplies.
Let students who want to go into architecture put their time and value ie. credits into these projects.Get some of those fat coaches into these projects. Let's go AMERICA. BUILD GREENHOUSES IN SCHOOLS. This could also be a use for community gardens. Older people and people who love gardening would love to volunteer. Yes, I know everyone needs background checks, and that's fine. But look at it this way. Community building is about people building . Let the young learn from the old and the old from the young.
This can be done. It can improve community relationships and school finances at the same time. I know my school district has a lot of property they don't use, they just mow.(talk about waste) Start now. Go to your school and ask why not. Junk out, happy bodies in. Happy bodies are healthy bodies.
One last thought. This seems off the topic but it isn't. There are many so called "different" kids in school who are bullied because they are so different. Do you know what kind of talents those kids have. Let them hang out in the gardens with the poplar kids. See who learns from whom and mix it up with good adults and what do you have? The best and healthiest salad you can ever imagine!

God uses Good but Bad Use God

As usual I grabbed a cup of coffee which I'm trying to quit, and put the a.m. TV on. An old movie station came on with Jimmy Stewart who played Mattie Appleyard. Never heard of it, but what I did hear hit me. A narrator said, " God uses the good, and the bad use God. The movie was near the end but the good guy won. Sure they do just about every time. But is that in real life?
Honestly I think so. No matter what difficulties we go through, God's plan come out on top. As I write this I think of all of the horrible things that happen to us and never makes sense. Why do the good die young ? What about innocent babies being born with diseases and having to fight for every breath? I don't know. Yet it seems in those battles you know who your real friends are compared to the nosiest people.
The good come and want to help, while the other want to look. The good donate time, money and prayers, whatever they can offer. The bad walk away.
Then we have wars. Why? To enrich the egos of men ? Do the good win, God people? I don't know but the answers are probable close. We just don't look in the right direction. Remember, God uses the good.

Organic Beef ?

Do you know who Bill Curtis is? He was a reporter a few years back and he retired to run his ranch and raise beef. His cattle are all organic. Fed and raised on the ranch, restaurants all over the US ordered his beef.
Off hand I don't remember the name of the ranch, but if you google Bill Curtis ranch, it will come up. When you shop for beef make sure you ask where it comes from and if it's prepackaged, read the labels closely  Raised on grass is the way you should go. It's what cattle eat to stay healthy.
I love a good steak, but more and more am working on a plant based way of life. It's worth it. Yet, every so often it feels good to eat a nice fat steak, so I make sure it's grass fed. Side dishes? A sweet potato and asparagus. Can't beat it.

Do "IT" This Weekend !!!

Okay People. I know I blogged about this before, but you have money and I would love if you decided hey, that lady is reminding me in my busy life to find money in my states unclaimed property office. Anywhere you lived, check out that states unclaimed property. Then if you find it, feel free to send me a token, no, not a subway token, but a token of thanks  to my pay pal account, Doozybags.
If not, well fine. I did mention Pioneer funds has lost money in the Boston unclaimed property office and hey, that could be mine. Just imagine trusting your money to PIONEER and they lose it. That's what happened to me. I was told it's just gone. A month after I invested 2,700.00 as a young single mom, wrote three different checks as I was told. Yup, as I was told, no backbone then. By now it would be worth over 78,000. with the 12 % interest I was told I would get, and that Pioneer has never done less than that since the war, don't know what war, but they freaking' lost mine. I sure would like some of it back. PIONEER, my pay pal is Doozbags. Write me, tell me what you did with my money. doozybags@aol.com
Now you good people, I see money all the time belonging to others. When I worked in mental health, I found lots of dough for people. People with illnesses go into hospitals, work and then checks are lost, so I found many. Boy where they happy!
My old landlord and his wife in Brooklyn, now gone about thirty years and more have a lot of money. No family to claim it, yet I am sure they had family when I was a kid, so I am off to call them tomorrow and see. The states should not have your money. Now make this the weekend and DO IT!!! FIND YOUR MONEY and remember me :)

Second Opinions Doctors

It is definitely worth it. Not long ago a few people were discussing taking a doctor at his or her word and making money asap. It was decided that a certain doc was trying to boost their bank account by trying to do a procedure in a hospital when it could have as is usually done in an office.
The doctor was in official business for nine years and gave good advice if a person wanted a second opinion. This doc said, so you don't pay for your records have the other doctors office request them. Yes, very good advice. The doc also said if this was her relative they would definitely get a second opinion.
So does that mean they don't have enough confidence in them selves or are they really so sure, they feel, go ahead and get that other voice. Also I was told you can get your fees/costs up front by calling the hospital and asking what will it cost for each and every part of this little outpatient investigation?
I wonder if a person can also ask the doc what they get too? Either way, look around for another opinion and as far as labs go, get a second lab to check that out too. You can even do that in another state. You can also see a doctor in another state.
Insurance? I can't answer anything about that. But no one should have to go without medical treatment due to lack of insurance. Good luck with second opinions. They pay off.

Pets, Eczema,Olive Oil, Oatmeal Choices

This morning I went to the post office. There was a lady there with a baby about  a year old? She was a stay at home mom who also started a small business at home taking photos and making celebration cards and business cards. As she explained to the post lady she said she would take food photos for example and give a couple to new chefs at culinary schools, then would get orders for more. These new chefs would use the cards as away to introduce themselves. She talked about her baby trying very hard to walk and how she'd handle working at home once the baby was more active. She made it seem it simple. Her answer was, you have to be organized. I waited patiently as I like to listen to ideas a I restart up Doodybags in a week or two.
She said she had to leave as she was meeting her sister at the local convenience store in a few minutes, but that she takes advantage of her husband when he gets home. Once he's in, they eat, he relaxes for thirty minutes and then they pitch in to get ready for the week. This they do every Wednesday night.
Weekends are so she can take a self improvement business class on Saturdays and later join her husband and baby at a local park. She expects in five years that her business will be blooming as she puts it.

Then after I bought stamps I ended up in the same store as she, to buy a quart of milk. I learned she was only there to babysit one of her sister children! Her sister came in minutes later and that's when things got uncomfortable. A dad and mom were close by on line getting snacks when they asked this lady's sister if her kids had chicken pox, because the two little ones they had, didn't have them.
She smiled very nicely and said no, they both have eczema and it's not catching. Then the girl behind the counter even said, oh good, I was wondering too because my boyfriend didn't have chicken pox either. The mom of the two small kids asked, so what do you do for them? Isn't it itchy? How do you stop from scratching? These were questions in between answers.
Yes, it is itchy and sometimes I don't stop them from scratching but we use ground-up oatmeal and bathe then every late afternoon. It has to be ground up and then we also use pure olive oil. Then I was curious. The two parents left and the sisters were now paying for snacks and talking to each other. I joked with the girl behind the counter and was glad she asked and not me. She said, you use olive oil? Is that with or without tomatoes? The mom didn't seem offended.
Instead she asked, do you have children because you never know when a child will get anything, so being sensitive is a good idea. The clerks face reddened. The mom now said, look honey, I listened to another parent. I had to let my big dog go. Animal dander is very bad for eczema. The olive oils soothes and moisturizes his skin and hers too, even though it stains his clothes, we don't care. Besides I have learned, the most important thing you can teach your child is patience. Above all else, if you don't have patience with your child he or she won't have it with them selves. They can sense stress and when we're in a hurry and worry. I some ways like pets. So when you get mad at them it's usually because you don't have what it takes as far as patience goes. What is so bad about what a baby is doing that you don't take time and patience, because that is love.
Wow...was she preaching? It didn't seem like it, just seemed like teaching.
Wool is also bad, like anything material makes it worse that is itchy. We took away all poor foods that have preservatives and colors. The girl only said, wow you got rid of your dog? I'd never let my dog go. The woman asked, what if it was a choice, your child's health or your dog? We did buy three hypoallergenic puppies. She then turned to her sister and asked if everything was ready for babysitting.
Yea, I was there a long time but it didn't seem so long. The interaction between the clerk, the mom and dad and the two sisters about serious baby care was interesting. The sister by the way has four or five kids and we all left close together with me holding the door. As we neared our cars, I had to say something. Excuse me, but how did you learn all that stuff. The mom with all the kids said, I listened. I always thought I knew it all and one day my little brother told me I was being a jerk. He was happy, successful and I was mad as hell. I shut him up, but the next day he came over and we talked. He told me I had a hidden anger problem, that because I didn't fill my dreams, I was taking it out on the kids, lost all reason and patience. My sister was there too and I asked if she agreed. She looked sad but agreed.
I went to see a therapist and talked about kids, my husband, dreams, babies and most of all how to learn patience. He said patience will come, but that I should tell my husband because I worried I would snap and hit my child. I knew I snapped at people a lot and they wouldn't talk to me after so I thought they were jerks. If I invited them over they'd drop by but never stay long. So I started to change. When I knew I was losing patience with my crawling baby, I counted to twenty, and I called a friend, said I need a break. Good friends understood and sometimes when they could they'd babysit while I walked or went to see my pastor.
The weather was nice and I asked her, how do you take the time even now to talk to me about this. She said, I finally filled my dream, but first I got organized. I got my teaching degree but then with my third child on the way I knew I wanted to be with my babies, so I tutor and I teach as often as I can, doesn't matter where or when.
All for the sake of a quart of milk, I learn about olive oil, ground oatmeal, patience and animals, what works and what doesn't for eczema. I also learned there are many great teachers with patience still around, in all walks of life.
With patience you can accomplish anything.

Jonathan Kellerman

My birthday was last month and my daughter asked what I would like so, lately I am back into Jonathan Kellerman. The same question was asked of me for Christmas and she had the same answer, Jonathan Kellerman.
I was introduced to Jonathan Kellerman by my crammer school principal Mr. Vitalo in nineteen ninety-seven. It was over the top joy to see and spend time with this man again after years of not knowing where he lived and not being in touch again. Now I know it's true. You know that saying about there being a season for everything and timing is about everything.
Thinking about Mr. Vitalo only brings me a feeling of warmth. He was a wonderful man and no one since or before was as great.
On a summer's day in Cutchogue Long Island My daughter, myself and Mr. Vitalo with his wife sat and talked about life, where I was and what was I doing. He told me how he lived, still teaching part time at a local college, and what a great wife he had. They deserved one another. God knew when he was doing.
One of the questions Mr. Vitalo asked me was about my interests and did I read. I liked to read but couldn't find stimulating subjects. I enjoyed working with kids and also liked working in mental health. Then he said it. "Hey Nance, have you ever heard of Jonathan Kellerman?" Before I could answer I know he knew I never heard of Jonathan Kellerman from the quizzical look on my face, not unusual.
In the next few minutes he told me about  Alex Delaware,a character in Kellerman's books and how stories about kids and mental health  and the mysteries intertwine. I was now hooked all because it was something Mr. Vitalo said. If he said it, it was true. Sometime later and after lunch we all said good-bye for now, and I knew as I left I was about to buy a book. Just as we were getting into the car, Mr. Vitalo leaned over gave me a hug and said, don't forget, Jonathan Kellerman.
I left feeling high as a kite, just because I spent time with Mr. Vitalo. As my daughter and I neared home, I asked if she's mind stopping at Borders. Yup, I found my first Jonathan Kellerman book.
Yesterday my daughter gave me "GUILT" Kellermans' latest book, and an added bonus book titled "Therapy" which I started this morning. For Christmas she gave me "Victims". I don't always love all of his books, but I do always finish. Victims was too much for me, but I know already by reading the first page of Therapy I will love this one. Reading the inside jacket of GUILT, I know I'll love this book as well. Personally I enjoy the smaller paperbacks. While the paperback book is smaller to hold, there are more words, smaller print and more page, yet the stories are captivating. Johnathan Kellerman, I love your work.
     Thank You Mr. Vitalo

Yellow 5 & 6 Food dyes=Ecezma & ADD

Among other issues with children, these dyes add to, cause, aggravate eczema and ADD. While this is nothing new to me, it is on Dr. Oz today, and if you see and hear it, I hope you change food with food dyes. I didn't know food dyes "add" ecezma, and probably many more we don't know about.
I knew about this because a person I was related to was told by the family doctor to take food dye from the child's food to help lessen the stimulation/hyperactivity. The show today was specifically about Kraft Macaroni and cheese whose food dye is actually called "petroleum  food dyes" and is approved by the FDA in the US-But Not in ENGLAND   !!!
So does England care more about their children than our own government?
Do you know the primary colors for art? Red, yellow and blue.  You don't want them in your foods ! Use natural foods like blueberries, strawberries, Raspberries. In the past few days my grandson  sat at the table and picked the fresh blueberries out of his pancakes. I wanted happily as he ate every single one of them. He then ate his silver dollar sized pancakes, got up, went to the fridge and asked, berries? berries? He also loves sweet potatoes.
Sometimes I think the Mormons got it right.
Oh, by the way, Kraft. made a statement in answer to the Oz show, that they have made changes. The people who do the checking about food dyes said, yes, but Kraft still has over thirty products with these food colors/dyes in them.
GO natural...not as in naked, but food people, food. NAtural is better.

Ann Curry, Where is She Now?

We don't all know why she isn't there every morning, only what we read and what we read is only what the media wants us to know. I know I miss Ann Curry. No one is alike. I do feel the NBC big shots made a mistake putting her out front as they did as one of the people who should have take Meredith Viera's place, because plain and simple, these ladies are so very different in their approaches.

That doesn't take away Ann Curry's right to be upfront. It should have been in a different venue, or maybe the same place where she was, but give a big raise and give her stories suitable to her personality. Ann Curry did a story about her family's heritage and that was a great story. Not only did she learn about her family but so did we, her viewers. That isn't the only reason I love Ann Curry. It's her empathy and compassion for people. It shows.
Loud and clear we know she is a person who cares and digs deep into her stories. It's in her eyes, her heart, her facial expressions that can't be faked. People know when others are pretentious. Ann Curry isn't. That other guy is.
That other guy used to be fun, but the past few years seems more and more arrogant and sure he can be funny a little bit, but he's rude and not like real reporters like Dan Rather who know how to treat and how to handle people. That other guy used to appear to have heart, now it's do the story, little sincerity and good-bye. Ann Curry delved into her people, her stories, their hearts and when ending a story, you knew she left a piece of heart with them and with us.

Pioneer investments suck!

This is just a way to blow off steam. talk about being taken advantage of. What really happened to my money? Three different checks made out at the same time, maybe one to pioneer funds, pioneer bonds and Pioneer losers? To top that off each and every one just disappeared as if I never gave that guy any money. The bank of Boston is now know by another name, but to search and find PIONEER has lost money in an unclaimed property site in Boston Mass.!!!!
So if they lose their own money what do the do with yours? I know what they did with mine. Well I don't know. I gave it, trusting to a man in a company who wrote a mark on every check, and then I never see a dime. Good going Pioneer. Screw who you can. What goes around... at twelve percent interest by now would be about 78 thousand, but in the year I invested it would be a little over three thousand. WHAT DID YOU DO WITH MY MONEY PIONEER?

Unclaimed Pioneer Funds ? Who do they belong to?

Do you invest? I did. quite a long time ago someone referred me to a local investment company, told me to see a Mr. Baker and I don't remember if that's who I met with but he had me write out three different checks to the Bank of Boston at the same time. This gets good. They were cashed and a month later I walked back in and he said me to, it's gone, just gone. He never gave me a perspective or any paperwork telling me my canceled check was all I needed. I asked about the money being gone and he said this happens when you invest, but I was told all about Pioneer funds from this guy, how long staying they were etc. Oh, even doing 12% during the war. I still have the canceled checks.
About a week ago I was looking in a few states to see if somehow I ended up in an unclaimed property site. No, I didn't, but Pioneer did. In Boston Mass. Pioneer, investment has money in a lost and unclaimed property site ! How does this happen. IS that my money? I invested twenty-seven hundred dollars ad I Will Never Stop bad mouthing Pioneer for feeling like, knowing they screwed me over.
I was a young single mom who believed an investor wanting to do something good for the future for my kids. Good going Pioneer, you not only lost my money or maybe it's in Boston, but I know think you probably screwed over others.

Why not? Church in a Bar :)

Original? I don't think so but I also don't pretend to know the Bible and all of the places where Jesus taught, but some memory tell me he went where sinners are. But all of us are sinners, aren't we?
I didn't read the article about the Bar Church, but guessing alcohol isn't served unless it's communion Sunday-smile. At least then you get a shot of real wine. People may even be more open to relaxing in their own atmosphere. Ridiculous? I honestly don't think so. Who came up with the idea that church has to be a certain kind of building anyway?
Which religion is correct in how they build? We all think our own is right, but what if we don't belong to a church? Maybe no one has ever asked us to join and we take that as a sign we're not good enough. It's like being invited to a wedding and you get seated with people who other perceive you as "where they belong" or not quite classy enough to sit with the proper class of people.
I know, all appear to be well meaning or are they? Is it just they don't want the classier people to know you actually know someone of a lesser class? Personally like many, I have met all kinds of people and some of the lowest appearing in class have more class than those we expect to have a higher standard of class.
Okay so people who like to go to a bar aren't good enough for the Sunday Regulars who attend church...let's say we stick to that. What would Jesus say about it? Does everyone know what the church goers are like once they leave church? Same goes for the bar-tenders. How different are we after all.
I know a guy who belonged, think he still does to a big Assembly of God church, molested boys, was also a principal in a high school locally. He confessed to the board. His family has a prominent name, big in the church, so of curse what happened. The guy said God forgave him, so in turn did the board. His accusers came forward when they were finally able to, but after years of self mutilation by addictions, people chose not to believe them, and others back ed out. I know this is all true because I went to a lawyer with the story for one of the boys. The "guy" ? His aunt told me how he confessed to the board.
That"guy" resigned from the High school, but he and his wife still attended and took part in children's pageants. She knew too. So who are we to say Church should not be in a bar. As I know and As I know you know, sinners are everywhere. Maybe too, a bar is less pretentious, well the people anyway.
I don't mean any of this to offend anyone and if you're honest with your self reading this, you know it's true. Check this out too. How many wives look at other husbands and watch women flirt with their spouses-IN CHURCH!
The next time I'm in a bar, I might just ask someone, do you think Jesus would mind if you are here? Church isn't a place, it's just a building. To me church is where ever you are with God.

Haunt Your State Reps to...

Do you know someone who had died of cancer? I know I may be on a round trip here, but it's the voters who can make changes and congress won't act until we do, if we do.
Fill their e mails with your heart. Tell them you want a cure for cancer. Another child or mom or dad, or someone without a family should not die from any cancer related disease. I will find the e mail addresses again and post them in the next two days-no excuses.
Billions of dollars went to find as close to a cure for HIV and AIDS and CANCER has been around a lot longer so has the money for it? WHY, WHY, WHY is Cancer being held back for  a cure or at least as arresting as HIV and AIDS? If enough congressmen and women had families who died from it, I bet things would change. But they have more money, more health benefits, a better life style, so as not to be affected as much with Cancer.
As we are finding out, we all have cancer cells in our bodies, but stress, atmosphere, food, smoking, alcohol and more triggers Cancer. Look at people who live near waste sites! Look up lawsuits for dump sites and the cancer rates. Do you think a congressman lives near a dump site? Remember the story of
Erin Brockcovich ? Check it out. If one person can do what she did, Imagine what  we all can do!!!
