Meds, Better Buys

     DO not buy your medicine as soon as you get your prescription, unless of course you need it. Here are some things to do to get a better buy:

1.    Go home and make three calls to the favorite three pharmacies you deal with. Have a pen and paper in hand.
2.     If a new script, only get a few of  that one filled , letting them know you don't want to pay for a whole prescription, when in fact it may have a side effect and not agree with you. (side note) Recently I had a script filled and before hand asked the doc about side effects. He brushed me off and said, nah...well I bout the whole thing and the side effect was it made me so sleepy, I napped way too much.
3.    Ask for generic.
4.    Ask for delivery. They may not do it twice for a same script filled with just a few pills, but it's worth it.
5.    Once you found a better pharmacy that isn't trying to steal the last penny you have, ask you doctor to make any future scripts in doubles and explain why. Then ask him to have his office call in to your favorite pharmacy.

     Good Luck with the pharmacies and your doctor, oh a last thought, ask your Parmacy if they have discounts, either for age or new meds.
     

HIV, 17yrs old from-BEWARE

     This young girl married and had a child with a guy who was in prison. He gave her HIV. Just as bad, he is cheating with other single young ladies.
     Do we not know that HIV / AIDS is still very much active in today's living and or dying? From the youngest of people who are sexually active to people who are much older, HIV is spread more than other age groups, so don't think you're safe because you're a senior or, I'm just a kid and have years to live. Not now you don't!
    This young man is throwing his sexual appetite around like a baseball and you don't want to be the catcher's mitt. Do you have any idea how many people want revenge because someone gave them HIV?
     DO NOT become a victim because others are careless, use condoms with a pin hole in them or simply tell you how much they love you so you can get what he or she has. That is a gift that keeps on giving, but deadly. Is your life worth ten minutes of proving how much you love someone, someone who is passing it around anyway? Someone who is killing people?
    AIDs and HIV is/are a perfect reason to be celibate until married. Try it. YOu just might end up disease free.
     

Greenhouses in Schools-an Answer

     A year ago I asked the local schools why they don't have gardens which would be used well for kids who want to learn culinary art or gardening and even social work. I was told because we don't have summer school so no one to attend any gardens.
    My idea is to start building Greenhouses at schools. If they have so much money to build many outdoor stadiums for football, and scholarships for sports, why not take some of that money and build a healthy future? An academic school could also work with a vocational school in the building process. In addition I know places such as Lowe's and Home Depot give donations and or charge a lesser amount for supplies.
    Let students who want to go into architecture put their time and value ie. credits into these projects.Get some of those fat coaches into these projects. Let's go AMERICA. BUILD GREENHOUSES IN SCHOOLS. This could also be a use for community gardens. Older people and people who love gardening would love to volunteer. Yes, I know everyone needs background checks, and that's fine. But look at it this way. Community building is about people building . Let the young learn from the old and the old from the young.
     This can be done. It can improve community relationships and school finances at the same time. I know my school district has a lot of property they don't use, they just mow.(talk about waste) Start now. Go to your school and ask why not. Junk out, happy bodies in. Happy bodies are healthy bodies.
    One last thought. This seems off the topic but it isn't. There are many so called "different" kids in school who are bullied because they are so different. Do you know what kind of talents those kids have. Let them hang out in the gardens with the poplar kids. See who learns from whom and mix it up with good adults and what do you have? The best and healthiest salad you can ever imagine!
