AARP's FAll Fron GRACE

I have to add-when making hotel reservations, AARP is the same as AAA, but with AAA I get towing, 5.00 worth of gas, a charge if needed and  acompany that stands by the original AGREEMENT !

> Dear Mr. Rand,

> Recently you sent us a letter encouraging us to renew our lapsed membership in AARP by the requested date. This isn't what you were looking for, but it is the most honest response I can give you. Our coverage gap is a microscopic symptom of the real problem, a deepening lack of faith. While we have proudly maintained our membership for years and long admired the AARP goals and principles, regrettably, we can no longer endorse its abdication of our values. Your letter stated that we can count on AARP to speak up for our rights, yet the voice we hear is not ours!

> Your offer of being kept up to date on important issues through DIVIDED WE FAIL presents neither an impartial view nor the one we have come to embrace. We do believe that when two parties agree all the time on everything presented to them, one is probably not necessary. But, when the opinions and long term goals are diametrically opposed, the divorce is imminent. This is the philosophy which spawned our 200 years of government.

> Once upon a time, we looked forward to being part of the senior demographic. We also looked to AARP to provide certain benefits and give our voice a power we could not possibly hope to achieve on our own. AARP once gave us a sense of belonging which we no longer enjoy. The Socialist politics practiced by the Obama Regime and empowered by AARP serves only to raise the blood pressure my medical insurance strives to contain. Clearly a conflict of interest there! We do not understand the AARP posture, feel greatly betrayed by the guiding forces that we expected to map out our senior years and leave your ranks with a great sense of regret. We mitigate that disappointment with the relief of knowing that we are not contributing to the problem anymore by renewing our membership. There are numerous other organizations which offer discounts without threatening our way of life or offending our sensibilities and val ues.

> This Obama Regime scares the living daylights out of us. Not just for ourselves, but for our proud and bloodstained heritage. But more importantly for our children and grandchildren. Washington has rendered Soylent Green a prophetic cautionary tale rather than a nonfiction scare tactic. I have never endorsed any militant or radical groups, yet now I find myself listening to them. I don't have to agree with them to appreciate the fear which birthed their existence. Their borderline insanity presents little more than a balance to the voice of the Socialist Mindset in power. Perhaps I became American by a great stroke of luck in some cosmic uterine lottery, but in my adulthood I CHOOSE to embrace it and nurture the freedoms it represents as well as the responsibilities.

> Your web site generously offers us the opportunity to receive all communication in Spanish. ARE YOU KIDDING??? The illegal perpetrators have broken into our 'house', invaded our home without invitation or consent. The President insists we keep these illegal perpetrators in comfort and learn the perpetrator's language so we can communicate our reluctant welcome to them. I DON'T choose to welcome them, to support them, to educate them, to medicate them, or to pay for their food or clothing. American home invaders get arrested. Please explain to me why foreign lawbreakers can enjoy privileges on American soil that Americans do not get? Why do some immigrants have to play the game to be welcomed and others only have to break and enter to be welcomed?

> We travel for a living. Walt hauls horses all over this great country, averaging over 10,000 miles a month when he is out there. He meets more people than a politician on caffeine overdose. Of all the many good folks he enjoyed on this last 10,000 miles, this trip yielded only ONE supporter of the current Regime. One of us is out of touch with mainstream America. Since our poll is conducted without funding, I have more faith in it than ones that are driven by a need to yield AMNESTY (aka-make voters out of the foreign lawbreakers so they can vote to continue the governments free handouts). This addition of 10 to 20 million voters who then will vote to continue Socialism will OVERWHELM our votes to control the government's free handouts. It is a "slippery slope" we must not embark on!

> As Margaret Thatcher (former Prime Minister of Great Britain) once said "Socialism is GREAT - UNTIL you run out of other people's money".

> We have decided to forward this to everyone on our mailing list, and will encourage them to do the same. With several hundred in my address book, I have every faith that the eventual exponential factor will make a credible statement to you. I am disappointed as all get out! I am more scared than I have ever been in my entire life! I am ANGRY! I am MAD as heck, and I'm NOT gonna take it anymore!

> KEEP THIS MOVING.

> Further more if you do a little checking on ARRP's web site you will find their anti-second amendment position to disarm us....In internet lingo: If enough people pass this on, it will go viral

Benny Hinn & Dr. Joel Wallach

I'm not sure who the crook here. How does Benny Hinn support this quackery? This so called doctor is a vet, an animal doctor. I just looked up his "Dead Doctors Don't Lie" and came across an expose' and how this young man was thrown out of Wallach meetings for asking genuine questions.
Hinn has been accused many times for his dramatic way of healing. I guess making millions does not come with a conscience for many people including Hinn and Wallach.
Wallach claims to have seen thousands healed from cancer using his model of supplements, vitamins and eating beef medium rare. I don't know which is really true or not, but my instinct is both are full of baloney. These people are TV quacks in my opinion. Please check out Wallach and his claims and the expose' I do know one thing, Benny Hinn has the people, the resources to check out a person like Wallach, so did he or didn't he and if not why not ?
Here's why. Sensationalism, news worthy and mainly it all comes down to money!!! Oh in the expose' article it talks about how Wallach's audience consists of the elderly, desperate and sickly. Now that tell you a lot. Educators are not  there, other real ministers are not there, real doctors are not there and I don't remember, but I never heard of any animals being there either. Maybe he gets an F in vet meds. So how will he help people? LYING

Why Old People Get Married.

So don't get mad okay, but no one admits the real reasons. It's almost like being kids again...oh we love each other. Sure that may be true in may cases, maybe even all cases, situations, people in love.
But many oldsters marry due to companionship, finances, or needing a cook and housekeeper. Those are the things that, I bet if you asked before marrying, things would change in a hurry. If one future spouse asked the other, so you still are doing your own cooking right? You're still doing your own cleaning right? You're still doing your own wash and grocery shopping right?
Bet many would back out. I know, I know it should all be shared, but it seems the woman gets a bridal gift of, care taking cleaning, cooking & dishes and doing the wash. The men get car repairs if they're able. So split it, evenly. I know one old woman who married an older man for money. She was sixty-five and he is in his eighties, now close to the other side. Even young kids had a theory on why she married him as she is pretty active. He owns a lot of property property. She will be very secure and to be honest she also had a few properties of her own. I wonder how she obtained it all. Be careful in choosing your spouse. Even Steven.
A last thought. When you marry as an older person, you are also accepting each others lifelong habits-yuck!

A Paycheck Away From Security? Cremation...

Isn't that how most of us feel? Like there's no place like home. We do worry about the economy and think for many that our individual jobs are so secure you wouldn't dare lose it. But things just don't work like that. In the case of an elderly parent dying, what does the spouse left behind have to live on? Can they make it on their own or do they have to move in with family? No one, no one at all wants that. Commercials fill the air waves with such doom and gloom: Make sure you get this life insurance. It only costs...Sure and when the time comes how do we know they'll still be there. So what do we do?
First I was brought up in a time when many, not all parents decided what you'd be and what you're worth, so if you weren't worth all that much or not so smart you weren't taught some of the most important things in life, giving, saving and taking very good care of your health. Honestly, I'm no one to talk about saving, but am learning later in life. Never too late. So about insurance and burial costs. Think Cremation. Last year a friend was cremated. The cost? Eight thousand dollars! Can you imagine? I was at a genealogy center one day and this guy started   talking about his last days and how he wanted that handled. He called the hospital and a crematory and had a price of just over a hundred dollars. I don't remember the details, but it is definitely worth looking into.
WHY do we put our families through the expense, and a long drawn out funeral? WHY? We're gone so we don't care or just think oh they'll take care of it. NO! Don't do that to them. Make it fast and let them get on with life. Let them remember the good stuff and count on each other and friends to get through the grief. Even with cremation the costs come from all the fancy stuff. Listen up-if you weren't fancy in life, why now? You won't know.
Now about that job, keeping it or losing it. We're supposed to save three months of expenses at the least, six months are better. But what if you think you can't save anything. Please go see a financial person in your local church that you trust. Look around for different opportunities but don't quit until you have another job. Volunteer at a local hospital and while there check out the job lists.
There are stay at home opportunities too, and better in a two parent home but one parent can do this too. Foster care. I was told years ago that many consider it as a part-time job, but you are helping out kids in need too. Check it out and check it out thoroughly. It is worth it. too many kids need a mom or dad. It can be short term or long term, so please check it out. There are other social service needs. Residential homes hire all the time , and for all shifts. Go for it.
