You can't win if you don't play. Isn't that the saying to trap people into playing away their much needed every day money? Now we have the mega million up past a half a billion dollars. Maybe someone can bail out the national debt, after our government isn't doing it.
We never think when we play how it all adds up. Some people say, this is my only vice. Well why have a vice at all if that's your only one? Smoking, drinking and gambling seem to be the worst of vices, seem to be. But the we have drugs, sex, porn, shopping, and alcohol. The end result is it costs. It cost money, lives and the destruction of families and self.
My bad habit is I can't stop writing, and uh, I also play the lottery as much as I hate to admit it. I am doing it much less than I used to, aware of where and how money seems to trickle away. I'd also rather spend it on my kids and grandson. Now he is worthwhile for spending and hugging and taking off to just see for a day.
Well I am working on the house, cleaning, arranging and hopefully ripping a carpet out. You know what "they say" An idle mind is the devils' playground, so I have to keep busy, at least occupied in a positive way. Making bags this weekend.
See my on artfire under Doozybags. I hope whoever does win this gross amount does a lot of sharing and giving to worthwhile causes, like St. Jude, Cancer, The Heart Association, churches that help people, neighbors in need and just do good with it. Congrats who ever you end up to be.

Touch, Thurs. 9 P.M. a WOW Show
I love this show from the first time I saw it. About a little curly-haired boy who has autism. He doesn't talk but communicates with numbers, sending his dad played by Keifer Sutherland, on what at first appears to be a wild goose chase, but they play out not to be.
This little boy and his numbers mind is somehow connected to things in far away places and people and he always makes his dad take off. No speaking, no writing directions, but just numbers and it's always for good. What a cool show. It's about time. I think this is a show that should be on earlier on a Friday or Saturday so more kids can watch. A dad with patience, immeasurable love and understanding, these two players make a great combination for entertaining TV.
Do you know anyone with Autism? People with Autistic behaviors are not all the same because to put it simply, they are individuals. Thank you to all the teachers who work with these children.

Who Is Your American Idol ? Money, Jesus, Politics, Fame
Yes I watch American Idol, but I do jump around a lot as much of it lately I can't stand, as in the screaming. Why do singers feel as if they have to scream when they sing? Oh well and the audience...they are all waving their hands back and forth in the air, no matter what tempo the music is. Talk about annoying. So I check out other channels.
Then I see a preacher whose name I now forget. He is very large in size and has a son who preaches too. Of course that's the thing with TV evangelists. I have a hard time listening to a preacher who also shouts at people as if their deaf. Maybe because they/we don't listen, but then again neither does he. He talks about discipline a lot. He is about two hundred pounds overweight!
I am partial to Charles Stanley. He is a teacher preacher, soft spoken and gets the point across without screaming and pounding us to death with his fist on a lectern.
Politicians. Enough said. I wish. Who do you trust? One man, Santorum talks God a lot. Does he mean it? Does that make him better? One, Romney is a Mormon. Many said being a Mormon is part of a cult but what do Mormons say about Christians. Do you know they call Christians, "savvies"? Then we have the little guy which I feel very certain why he isn't getting the vote. We live in a vain society. Gotta be good looking and tall to get elected. Period. I gotta tell ya when I saw his name on a bumper sticker, Vote for Ron Paul, on a lady's car who I didn't care, for I was sure he had to be, not such a good guy. Then I listened to him talk. For a little guy his words are as deep and sincere as the ocean.
I thought Ron Paul was part of some weird movement as this lady is weird, but then again so am I and who am I to talk:)? Oh yeah we also have Newt with NEW WIVES-Yes I am against him for that reason. I'm not against a man being elected because he's rich. Look how many Kennedy's got into office. People loved them and they were whore men, lived rich lives, didn't talk about it, but sure lived it in the public eye, even in the eyes of their wives.
So it will come down to Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum, I hope. We need a new president. Maybe use Jesus as an example. Did Rick or Mitt volunteer as they were climbing the ladder, where and how. Did they help people What were their donations. Santorum said he donates less because he has a sick child. True and now says he will donate more-but Rick, she is still sick! He should defend what he wants to donate. Mitt, I just don't know about you except when I hear you on late night talk shows you are a better speaker. Too bad we couldn't hear these guys at home. Where is the real man? Toilet paper anyone?

If God was One of Us, What
It was another one of those wake up with thoughts in my head mornings. First thought was that Song, What if God was one of us? It started the wheels turning so I knew I had to blog it to get it out of my head-hopefully or it will be there for days.
What would God look like? What kind of personality would he take on? My daughter and I had a chat on the way home from Ohio about God, Christianity and being a Jew, the beliefs we don't share. The Jews believe you get to heaven by good works and Christians believe you...well I'm no longer sure. You have to be saved? Jesus also says no man comes to the father except by or through me? There are other things that tell us how to get to heaven, so which one is it? Is it all of them? Maybe I should convert. Judaism seems easier if it's just to do good works.
Now back to, what if God is one of us. Would he take on a child-like form? Would he be black or white. We've argued enough over that and my personal feeling is, he was a Jew so his color could have been olive, hair like wool? Sure, He didn't use conditioner and brown skin? Sure again. He lived in the sun. We don't really know what he looked like except for descriptions in the Bible, and who cares.
He was a carpenter so would he look like a man who has rough hands, and join the carpenters union or would HE join the teachers union and teach in schools?
He knew all about pain, so would he become a child-bearing woman:)?
One of the things I said to my daughter as we talked about going to heaven is, what if the Bible is right? Who wants to take a chance and ignore it? She nodded in agreement. Her nephew was just baptized in a Catholic church. She and her brother were raised in an Assemblies of God church, and I was raised in a Lutheran church, but introduced my children to the Jewish Community Center and taught them about other religions as they grew. We attended a Presbyterian church in Oregon as our church when my son was younger. For me it's about the people and what the church teaches.
IF GOD walked among us, I doubt He'd be too happy. We have liquor, the lottery, porn, children being abused and more, and I don't have enough time or the stomach to point out how sinful we are with such precious lives in our care. Even our thoughts are sinful. I just slapped myself:) I am not without sin by a long shot. I do try to do better. I wonder why He gave us free choice. Look what we've done with it?

Mechanics, Honest Garages & Papertown Auto
The day after my inspection I woke up knowing for a third time I had the right garage. This place, Papertown Auto in Spring Grove, now at an old Ford dealership, is filled with every day people as far as employees and owners go. I'm just an everyday person in need of repair, well my car is. Okay me too.
I've been to quite a few garages over the years and thought I'll be running out soon. It's just that after a person knows they've been taken by a garage because they think either, you're a woman(sorry I hate to use that) or just a person who doesn't know a thing about mechanics and the cost of repairs.
What I've been used to in the past(way past) is being able to get a used part at a local salvage yard etc. or having a car old enough to be all American so parts were less expensive, but those days are gone. I now have a newer model, eight almost nine years old and things are placed almost so that a guy has to dig in, dig under, crawl over and it all adds up to time. Time is money and we all know that.
Sometimes we hear people talk about being Christians and they even use it in their ads. If I was to think about Christians as far as Mechanics and owners go, along with a few very special people I know, this place Papertown Auto, well these people are right up there. It isn't what we say, it's what we do. They are ethical and decent, hard working people and I am so very thankful to have found them via a pipeline of a neighbor and another garage. So people, they are out there-the good guys. Stay with local family owned businesses as much as possible.

Your Penis and Plants
Are you one of those guys who have PAD? ( Peripheral Arterial Disease) of the Penis. PAD is caused by fats and cholesterol in animal products. Sure you can take viagra and cialis or Levitra. ( all meds have some side effects)
But wouldn't you like to try an easier way and not only have little soldier standing at attention but not have to use a pump or take medicine right before and hope it works. How spontaneous is that?
A much easier and healthier way is to simply and it is simple to eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans. Studies have proven this to be true and also have even improved potency, including one person who said his erections are now like blue steel. I don't know what that is of course, but you guys might.
Men who have ED in many cases also have heart disease as this comes from clogged arteries, slow blood flow. How do you unclog, NO, ya can't call a plumber. but you can change how you eat.

Letting it all out, 6lbs in 7 Days
Oh such good news. I was weighed today as is usual at the doctors office. Doing a lot of check-ups. I am over-due and over weight. So I made sure to use the terlit before weighing in, washed up, came out and anxiously got on the scale. The nurse smiled, and she is a real nurse who has been though and survived cancer and works at this doctors office. Many times when we meet a person like she is, we wonder what right do we have to complain, but we do.
I said, well? She smiled again, said you lost six pounds. The front desk heard me as I made a fist and air hit her arm saying, freakin kool a mundo! They asked me what was going on, now knowing I was trying and I explained the Forks over Knives movie. Thanks again and again Marty and Mike. Mike put the movie on while we were visiting. Marty told me about it the day before and it was just plain information and common sense. Even my blood pressure was down. I said uh, Thank Ya Jesus!

Dairy Food & Painful Hands Experiment
Today is Monday March 26, 2012 and I have been doing a mainly plan based way of living since Tuesday March 20th. That means I have had chicken once, baked, no salt, without toppings except a little honey. Yesterday a Sunday I took a little boy out for pizza and I ordered a ravioli dinner which came with home made fresh garlic bread.
I knew before I was half-way finished I had enough, but I ate it all anyway. I wanted to know how I would feel eating like I used to. I felt like a an over weight hog when I was done. Within a half an hour I had a headache. Cheese?
It took five hours before I felt somewhat normal again, still having a slight headache, and I have noticed I sleep better doing this plant based way of life.
As the night comes to a close and I fell asleep I was wakened by hand pain. Yes I have been on the computer and knew I wasn't wearing my hand splints since the first night and they did make a significant difference. I woke with not only hand pain but my hands are now puffy again. So I am not sure to contribute it to just not wearing the hand gear, or both, the food I eat. I have chosen to attribute it to both because I do know for a fact, I simply felt better for six days without eating all the crap, stopped eating burgers which I love, and really and simply ate fruit, nuts and raisins in my oatmeal with cinnamon, hard boiled eggs, rice, and stayed with that.
This week I'll start making more rice, add vegetables and more salads. Salads, I love them. I add mandarin oranges, nuts and raisins. I know my system worked better too!:) Try it, you just might like it.
PS by the way it has really been proven, most of our health problems come from inflammatory diseases. This way of food living truly helps. Off to ride my bike.

A Nurse said this? Yes she did...
Hello again people and persons from all planets. Okay Silly Sunday. I am just happy to be feeling better. So get this. Recently had problems with my hands and shoulders. Went to see an orthopedic doctor who I respect due to his conservative treatments. He sent me home with Hand splints and that takes care of that. I honestly thought I would never be able to use my hands again it was so bad, taking both hands to turn the key in my car.
Now with my shoulders, I needed an x-ray. I have been doing very well lately going plant based as far as food goes. Have been using Almond mill, no fat and no cholesterol, did have one chicken breast, and one small bag of movie popcorn. That's the worst I've done in six days, but I am not feeling deprived or hungry. When I do get hungry I grab a piece of fruit. I do have to stock up more on vegetables, but I can feel such a difference in just six days, and am sleeping better.
So just before the x-ray, the technician and I were talking about health, age related illnesses and more. Oh Sorry, not a nurse but this woman has been in this field for many years, and she is thin.
I explained to her how this came about, Marty, my son's father-in-law told me about a movie, Forks over Knives and also mentioned a book, Fire Engine 2 diet. The next day while visiting my son's brother-in-law Mike put the movie on, and my eyes were opened. I bought the book, but it's almost ten bucks cheaper on line and you don't really need it-just think plants not processed. Like a COW. A cow has to be processed before sales. I know we never think about that, but think about this: Once killed and how is it killed( I love beef by the way) It is taken to a slaughter floor where many cows have been before, many butchers with many knives-how clean is all that? Do they sanitize between each COW or BULL?
I know what I sound like and I may still have a burger once in a rare while, but I doubt it. What do the cows eat? On their grasses is manure, urine, toxins from machines and processed grain. Oh sorry again-back to the tech-she said "but that healthy food is so expensive"! I couldn't believe what I was hearing, even if I wasn't doing what I am. My reply was, well yes it is, but so is being sick. When you are sick you need to pay for the doctor visits, tests, some embarrassing exams, which many we should have anyway. On top of all that, being sick is time and life consuming.
She, with a lighter sounding voice said, well, yeah, that is true. I wish someone told me that way years ago. Marty, where were you? I know people probably did. I just wasn't ready or willing to listen because too many of us act so cocky in intelligence, we blow them off thinking, hey look at your life, who are you to tell me? Well either way, I'm listening now and it sure feels good. I do know some illnesses we can't prevent, but many we can and I am thankful that I have listened-finally. I just hope it isn't too late. Do you want to wait until it's too late?

Aleve Warning- Whew!
I can only tell you what happened to me. Side effects maybe? Stomach cramps? You know where I'm going and it won't be out dancing. I went on yahoo to look up Aleve after I started feeling and experiencing a bad reaction. Aleve is listed in comparison with Naproxen am anti-inflammatory agent. Naproxen or Naprosen is very Strong if you don't eat at least a half an hour before hand.
Because lately I have had hand pain I also checked out those kinds of gloves my daughter-in-law told me about. I went to Joanns, bought a pair, 18.00 and they did help. So on line it suggested to use the gloves along with Aleve. I was desperate. I bought Aleve too, went home and about an hour later took two Aleve and wore the gloves. After just fifteen minutes I felt something happening in my hands, but still left them on for possible a total of 30-45 minutes.
I ate only soup for lunch with crackers. But shortly after supper, beef stew, no buttered bread, my stomach started roaring and off I went until nine last night.
ALEVE WILL BE GONE FOR GOOD! The gloves will be WORN EVERY DAY. Thank you Kelly.

Pat Robertson-I like Hot Dogs
This morning on CBN, a reporter did a health story on red meats, and how we can live longer with less-Boy isn't that the truth as a whole? The story ends and Pat Robertson comes back on and announces, "I like hot dogs". He received a big laugh, and yup it was cute. For us who are a "little" younger, hot dogs should be an occasional food. My favorite dogs are Nathans, by the way.
One more tid bit about English-Ouch again on CBN-doing a sad story about a child who was born without eyes, LORI JOHNSON said this baby was born with no eyes, should have been was born without...see what I mean. It drives a person nuts. I guess it's just time top turn the TV off. Not perfect, just---

K. Tibbles, journalist. She's Got no Time? English?
By Far I ain't perfect uzing the English language. Somehow after listening this morning to Kevin Tibbles and he isn't alone, I had to blog this. Kevin Tibbles who I usually enjoy listening to, well not today. More and more new casters, journalists and those who are supposed to know and do better use poor language. Why? How do they get away with it? Who is letting this pass?
Kevin Tibbles said," she's got not time" OUCH, My Ears! I have my English Professor to thank for finally getting me to understand and it drives me nuts because I pick up on everything, including myself when I speak. A few months ago my son stopped me and said, Mom, you just corrected yourself, but you were right. By the time we finished our English chat, we were both confused.
So to some professional Television personalities, Newspapers journalists and all of the people who should know better, Know better! You have children listening so what do you say? ( I'm sure English professors change the channel)You confirm poor English is okay. It isn't, unless pure and simple, you don't know any better, but you do. So clean up your English skills and I can remove my earplugs.
Last and not least, listen up people, from early morning people to those like
Tom Brokaw, to those who give white house newscasts...they just don't have it. We talk about others learning the English language, but maybe we need to start right here.

Drive Safe with Dibs Ice Cream..Peanut warning
Oh what a day. Off to a busy start and on the way home I decided I needed an ice cream, yes needed and wanted coffee. You know how those two go together. So I stopped at my local convenience store and wallah! Filled with three choices of DIBS, or maybe it was two, but filled three bins.
Then I thought about driving as I first wanted an ice cream pop, but I loved Dibs too. Driving and needing ice cream, made Dibs easier. Yes people, I know most states have laws against eating and driving. I am responsible for me here, not what you do even though I'm blogging about it, so if you don't need it while driving, get it anyway. It's the better way to eat ice cream. Don't the doctors talk all the time about portion control? Well you can't beat better portions than Dibs, and crunch, yes Nestles crunch Dibs, makes the very best.

Crow Bar & kid on Spring Grove school bus-how?
Not sure why I haven't said anything yet, maybe because of trust, but with kids you don't know sometimes if they want you to tell, keep a secret and just sit back and see what you're going to do. They may also not want anything said because they don't want to get another kid in trouble.
So this young adolescent brings home a crow bar one day directly from school. He walked in and showed me saying this kid asked me if I wanted it and I said yeah. I asked right away how did he get it on the bus and before I waited for an answer, I said, wait a minute, How did you get it on the bus. He laughed and said, I just walked on. No one said anything or stopped me. We wonder why things happen like kids getting into fights and then a crowbar appears and I am so guilty of being worse than lax. But as the subject came up again tonight I know I will do something about it as this crowbar has now gone to another persons home and I worry.
I know as in many cases should someone get hurt, up will pop my name as in, she knew I had it, and she knew I brought it here. So now he is telling me again about where he has it. I am assuming he wants me to say something, and if not, I am following my conscience after all as parent or adults who take care of kids, it is our responsibility to safe guard as much as possible no matter how angry a kid might get. Verbal anger is much better than a crowbar across the head.

Pot Pie People, Spring Grove& The Dairy Bar
No this isn't intended to be mean, but even now thinking about it, I won't say it, because if I was a pot pie person, I would think, how mean is that?
So I took this kid to The Dairy Bar in Spring Grove for an ice cream Sundae, and I ordered a large pineapple sundae, not having had one in years. Little did I know what a large is, but I was better off for it. It was really just the right size and oh sooooo delicious. He enjoyed his too, a peanut butter sundae. I was finished first as he was writing. Then he finished his and picked up the menu when I bust out laughing asking him what he was doing. Getting another one? He said yeah, just making sure I have enough money. Me? I was full before we sat down having had a late lunch.
The very nice waitress came over asked if we needed anything else and he asked while smiling at the menu about taxes, having some spending money on him.
She then asked about the bill and I said, OH NO! I'm paying for the first two. If he wants more he can pay for it, and he did with his second ice cream sundae.
He had two spoonfuls left and suddenly I saw another waitress bring over a supper plate to a couple and it looked like mashed potatoes and more. That did it for me. Yes, I was stuffed by now and then some. I asked for a small saucer or bowl of potatoes with gravy. Why not? It was like a dream, slowly walking to me, sitting in front of me and gone all too soon. A glutton for punishment and some diet I'm on went through my head. But ahh, it's been too long, so I ate and enjoyed.
At the counter I mentioned how good they were and this other waitress smiles and says, yeah for powder they sure are, I love em. What? Powder! Oh I get it, not real. I couldn't get over that she told me, but in the end, I didn't care and would order them again, because they were so, so good. The kid? No he stopped after my potatoes. He ran out of money.

What it takes to be a Good Parent and Parents
This is my opinion only and you know about that.
It takes teamwork, teamwork to do what is best for a child. Some parents work non-stop figuring out how to handle an issue such as for example cloth diapers, religion, recycling, and take care of the environment because it always affects the present and the future. They have and love their pets and take care of them, making them as important as any family member. They have a conscience about who takes care of their child or children, knowing what's out there and who to trust. They trust themselves. Right on!!!
Sure no one is perfect and there certainly aren't perfect parents, after all who gets the blame when a child acts up. But make sure to know this before you blame the parents. Has the child had a good foundation, stable parents, spiritually involved, involved in educational matters, made as many efforts as humanly possible to guide that child or children to explore careers and let the child know, it isn't always money that comes first. It is though a matter of self sufficiency, enough to become independent of parents. That's our job, to stick with our children until they need to, ready or not sometimes to fly the coop. If we have done our job, they will fly.
It may feel at times like someone has clipped their wings, but the fact is they are probably learning all about life's mistakes and priorities and they will fly again. They will know how to bounce back, not feel sorry for them selves, although I think we all do that at times and most of all, know they were, are loved and can do anything weather on a mountaintop or in a valley. There will even be times we may say, why didn't I think of that? When they have turned the tables, becomes self supporting, giving and caring people, ridding themselves of old bad habits, because they have become truly responsible setting an example for their children, you know you have done a good job.
P.S. I'm still waiting for someone to raise me:)

Help with module file,IE9 vs IE8 TECHYS?
I sure hope this posts. Since my last post, and while there I simply clicked on Blogger interface to see what that looked like. It knocked me off line and I couldn't get back into be able to post. So I get the following message:
Possible problem with your*gwt.xml module file
The compile time user.agent value IE9 does not match the user. agent IE8 Expect more errors.
I do get more errors anytime I try to post. I can get to teh blog and when I click on "new post"
I get that error. Google is useless in helping with this issue. I had two people tell me to download google chrome and or firefox-I did download google Chrome, and the same issue continues. Can't download firefox-I have aol dial up and it would take about five hours.
Google also mention they have employess on those forums, the google help forum, and they have Blue G by their name-sure, try and fine one. Can someone help, and by the way, I'm not sure what version I have of Internet explorer.
I was able to blog this way (if it shows) by going to my start menu and looking up IE, then saw IE 64 bit, so I clicked on that and wallah! It took me here. Maybe this was the original starting place of blogging. Thanks for any help, but I sure miss the colors. I saw some people mentioned the blogger interface is too white and hard to read so I want to stick with my original Norwegianplaid. One last think, when I post a help question , my "Name" pops up as Fosterliving, a very, very old blog.

Forget Jesus? M. Cycrus tweets-I say forget Miley
I know, why do I care? Because kids look up to her, follow her, buy what she may call music, see her what she calls movies, because she is what they call a good actor(it's actually actress). I find none of that to be true, but then I'm not a kid.
Too many music and child actors and actresses are admired by children and we need to watch closely who they watch closely. Turn the channel, don't see that movie, choose their clothes, give allowance if you can afford and if they earn it. Make them save 75% of it. Teach character and you can't go wrong.
Who is she to say Forget Jesus? Who is she to tell your children something like Forget Jesus. I say Forget Miley. In the shape of the world today, do you want to take a chance and forget Jesus? Would Jesus forget her.. uh,what's her name?

Castration in Moldava for Pedophiles
I only saw the title and that it has become law. So what do they do to women who do the same things? This is something that has gone on forever behind closed doors and it is mainly men who do that. Now we have more and more females who are teachers preying on their young male students along with their male counterparts. When will it stop? I know years ago when the electric was the penalty for murder, killings were not as rampant as they are today because we as a humane society are not allowed to have cruel and unusual punishment-that only goes for those who committ such offenses.
What will it take to stop pedophiles? I don't know except to teach our kids to scream, tell, and keep on telling until someone listens. Yet I know too when it happens in a child's own home the predator threatens and in other cases too, the child is always threatened.
Maybe Moldava is on the right track-to start.

Clare Danes & Dead Hair
A few days ago I saw a wonderful older movie with Anthony Hopkins and Clare Danes. In the movie she is telling her, oh so smart sister who never took care of the very ill dad, how she is feeling , how she looks and how to live her life, but where was this sister before she dumped all the responsibility on little sis? So little sis who was smart enough, good enough and lived her life the only way she could with such an ill father(means barely lived) was suddenly dumb.
Now the dead hair thing? In this story the ever so smart sister told Clare Danes she needed to get her hair done, liven it up. Clare Danes snapped her head and said why, hair is dead and that is what started this all. Why do we spend so much money on hair products?
The advertisers! Those mostly rich men who sell and design hair styles, clothes, lingerie, shoes, all for women who buy, buy, and buy some more. Come on ladies, listen to Clare. Your hair is dead! Yes, I like my hair to look good too-sometimes, but use the most inexpensive products and I can get it looking very nice when I really want to without spending five bucks for a bottle of shampoo, or should I say seven or ten? Conditioner, a buck and a half,(sometimes 1.00) not four to seven bucks.
Clare Danes you are right! or is it Claire?

Matt Dillon, The Missing men among us...
Okay you sarcastic bunch of yo yo's, I know James Arness aka Mr. yummy has passed away recently, but as an example, his character Marshall Matt Dillon is seriously needed in today's world. He had ccharacter, morals, a work ethic, and boy could he stand up to people in just the right way. If needed he gave a good fist in the face. Okay peace baby...blah,blah, and more blah.
It's men like Matt Dillon, and again I know, a TV character, but he stood for things. He spoke less and did more. That's the kind of person we need in office, and I'll say a man too. If there was such a woman, sure put her in the ring, but look at what's happening to women in the Marines, and don't hand me any crap, if they want to be in a man's world they need to take it. That's the problem, they are not men who do those things. They are one of the worst kinds of cowards, lower than whale shit! Yup that's what I said...now back to Matt Dillon.
I see him on old shows every afternoon and won't miss one because he reminds me of the missing men among us.
Not bar brawling and ya don't have to be that gorgeous manly ruffff kind of a guy, or that awesome tall with a walk that makes my liver quiver, but it all helps.
Sure you think it's only in the movies. Now check this out. I think one of the problems with elections is trying to hire men who are saints. Don't we all, haven't we all, or most of us learned better, understood better because we've had problems. With a past that isn't perfect we have a more open perspective way to take care of situations. We have examples to look at, not just text books, not just our yes men. Those saints we elect like ARNOLD Schwartzy with a son hidden, Clinton playing the HArMONICA, Spitzer with hookers, Gingrinch, a cheater, nothing Newt) the guy in the bathroom some where swapping shoes and it goes on and on.
So we put the creeps on a pedestal, they fail us as they have their wives who stay and or come back and why...money? Who knows. At least if we elect some guy who has past imperfections we know, we know who we have-Al Capone would be better than...never mind, you get my gist

My High School Illustrator-You Can Too !
For a long time I have been writing and now have quite a few children books finished, but only on paper. So looking up illustrators I find the expense to outweigh trying to publish a book. Since I have worked with kids and kids have worked for me, doing a better job than some adults, it is kids who I have turned to once again.
Calling the local high school I was directed to the art teacher who in turn contacted me. In order for safety, confidentiality and fairness I agreed to let the teacher give out my e mail. One young lady in particular wrote me asap. Three more followed, yet I felt like I knew already it would be a good match with this first young lady. Yesterday someone else e mailed me, and I'm amazed at how little some know how to address others.
This last e mail simply tole me to email back, no first name, no, to Whom it may concern, nothing. This was a fifty-fifty business opportunity from an adult to students. One young lady wrote me and I answered her right away, but then didn't hear for a few days. I had the attitude, well if she can't answer...I found out what her schedule was like, so we too will meet. I am meeting with four students as I have many stories, two of which are Christian based, mostly all children's stories, and one is a teen book, and the last is one I have been working on for years, well off and on.
During the meeting with the first young lady and just some chatting I mentioned how disorganized I became-again. She said, well I can organize too...isn't that kool, and so this just goes to show us adults how willingly teens are to work. Bottom line is call your local high school and ask for the help you need. Kids want to help, want to be paid and work. This serves two purposes and maybe more. If I was able, I would pay her weekly so she could let go of her part time job, stay closer to home, save gas and hours. But I am getting an illustrator and she is getting exposure, as well as possibly learning if this is what she wants as a career or not.
We are doing this as a fifty-fifty partenrship and I am ever so grateful. This is a young lady with I'm sure many options, but for now, I'm the lucky one whose option she chose.
