A Jewish Dream

I know ! A Jewish Dream ? How weird is that? I'm not even Jewish, but who cares.  So here it is: Suddenly I found myself in an apartment or house, couldn't really tell and i Was a teenager again wearing penny loafers which I did wear as a kid, and a long print dress, which I never wore. My hair was shoulder length and more curly at the bottom and I wore bangs. I never had bangs except as a five-year old.

Well inside this home was gathering of a lot of people, all in their mid twenties to late thirties and me. Someone was missing, the old man. I didn't have any idea who the old man was or his relation to anyone yet. I walked around the people, looking and listening. Everyone was drinking, what they were drinking I couldn't tell. Glasses were clear. It was crowded and so much chatter was going on. Then the old man came in.
He was so slender, wore a dark suit and shirt. He had a hat on and took it off when he came in. He was stooped over, but not sing a cane or walker. He was shaking his head and nodding, looking about. I went to him and asked why he was gone so long. Hands up he said, look, why would I want to be here? This is family ? We walked and sat at an old wooden table. I asked if he wanted something to eat. He took out another round hat and placed it on his head. He said, no, I cannot what they  have on plates, that every hand gas touched, so unclean.

He asked me if I had a candle. I went to my room-oow I had a room-took out a candle, matches and gave to the old man. He lit the candle and said a prayer for family, old values and traditions. He took me to the refrigerator and showed me how the food was all scattered and then a hand reached around him grabbing lunch meat off a tray. The old man said, see, unclean. A man standing at the sink came to us and said hello dad, I'm happy you're here. Why said the old man, what is here for me anymore? look at what you have done to our Jewish family, traditions gone, dress gone, values gone, food gone. Have you forgot? The son looked sad, walked to the people in his home and asked everyone to leave. As they trailed out, he returned to his father and said, I'm sorry dad and I woke up as I was walking away in my dream.

Muslims Block Alpine in Brooklyn, TAKE BACK....

Facebook removed teh photos of Muslims blocking an old Movie theater, The Alpine on 69th st. and 5th ave in Bay Ridge Brooklyn. Why did FB remove it? Bleeding Heats liberal company? Or Was it not to continue the agitation we all feel as losing our lands to Radicals.
As far and long as I can remember, no one is allowed to block a public street or sidewalk, so how is it they get away with these things? Where are the police arresting these people. They have mosques, homes, and there are public places like parks, but no, they want to show their asses to AMERICA in defiance as if to say, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT??? They get away with protesting our kids praying in schools, yet look at what they gat away with!
We have to stand up, unite, wear our own religious symbols and get back to the roots of our own religions.
These people know we have let our faith go by the wayside and they unite using their faith as an excuse as to why they are allowed and get away with taking over streets, cities, boro's, states. In this, our United States we have:
  •  Catholics
  • Lutherans
  • Protestants,
  •  Baptists
  • Pentecostal
  • Jews
  • Orthodox Jews
  • The Greek Faith
....and so many more, but we have to get BACK. Excuse me if I made errors concerning the correct faith wording, but you get my drift, so now, DRIFT BACK to your Churches. UNITE AMERICA! Before you end up bowing in prayer to MECCA, or.... side by side Christians & Jews unite, Americans, take it back.

If God was One of Us, What

It was another one of those wake up with thoughts in my head mornings. First thought was that Song, What if God was one of us? It started the wheels turning so I knew I had to blog it to get it out of my head-hopefully or it will be there for days.
What would God look like? What kind of personality would he take on? My daughter and I had a chat on the way home from Ohio about God, Christianity and being a Jew, the beliefs we don't share. The Jews believe you get to heaven by good works and Christians believe you...well I'm no longer sure. You have to be saved? Jesus also says no man comes to the father except by or through me? There are other things that tell us how to get to heaven, so which one is it? Is it all of them? Maybe I should convert. Judaism seems easier if it's just to do good works.
Now back to, what if God is one of us. Would he take on a child-like form? Would he be black or white. We've argued enough over that and my personal feeling is, he was a Jew so his color could have been olive, hair like wool? Sure, He didn't use conditioner and brown skin? Sure again. He lived in the sun. We don't really know what he looked like except for descriptions in the Bible, and who cares.
He was a carpenter so would he look like a man who has rough hands, and join the carpenters union or would HE join the teachers union and teach in schools?
He knew all about pain, so would he become a child-bearing woman:)?
One of the things I said to my daughter as we talked about going to heaven is, what if the Bible is right? Who wants to take a chance and ignore it? She nodded in agreement. Her nephew was just baptized in a Catholic church. She and her brother were raised in an Assemblies of God church, and I was raised in a Lutheran church, but introduced my children to the Jewish Community Center and taught them about other religions as they grew. We attended a Presbyterian church in Oregon as our church when my son was younger. For me it's about the people and what the church teaches.
IF GOD walked among us, I doubt He'd be too happy. We have liquor, the lottery, porn, children being abused and more, and I don't have enough time or the stomach to point out how sinful we are with such precious lives in our care. Even our thoughts are sinful. I just slapped myself:) I am not without sin by a long shot. I do try to do better. I wonder why He gave us free choice. Look what we've done with it?
