Mechanics, Honest Garages & Papertown Auto

The day after my inspection I woke up knowing for a third time I had the right garage. This place, Papertown Auto in Spring Grove, now at an old Ford dealership, is filled with every day people as far as employees and owners go. I'm just an everyday person in need of repair, well my car is. Okay me too.
I've been to quite  a few garages over the years and thought I'll be running out soon. It's just that after a person knows they've been taken by a garage because they think either, you're a woman(sorry I hate to use that) or just a person who doesn't know a thing about mechanics and the cost of repairs.
What I've been used to in the past(way past) is being able to get a used part at a local salvage yard etc. or having a car old enough to be all American so parts were less expensive, but those days are gone. I now have a newer model, eight almost nine years old and things are placed almost so that a guy has to dig in, dig under, crawl over and it all adds up to time. Time is money and we all know that.
Sometimes we hear people talk about being Christians and they even use it in their ads. If I was to think about Christians as far as Mechanics and owners go, along with a few very special people I know, this place Papertown Auto, well these people are right up there. It isn't what we say, it's what we do. They are ethical and decent, hard working people and I am so very thankful to have found them via a pipeline of a neighbor and another garage. So people, they are out there-the good guys. Stay with local family owned businesses as much as possible.

Kelly "clean-Up" lady:)

Some time ago, about five or six weeks now, I said good-bye to a very nice person, and could consider her a friend of sorts except she was a boss and that means boundaries. Yet with all that she seemed like someone I've known for a lifetime. Kelly wasn't at this place of work as long as it would have been nice to have her for, but she make a whopping difference. I think because of how she cleaned-up, cleaned house, exterminated that others are now following in her footsteps. Isn't that kool to have others follow what you started and she not only made a difference, but an improved difference.
This lady didn't worry about the little things or at least I didn't know about it and no reason I should or would, but when she did make changes, it made those left behind to think they were doing a right kind of a job. Kelly, while soft spoke, spoke with firmness, kindness and an attitude of saying what she meant. We knew she meant business and she was I believe the first person to have the courage to do what was needed for many years. Thank You Kelly. I'm proud to have known you. Be happy, stay healthy and enjoy that car.

Moms & Dads Everywhere, The Good Ones

How do you know if your a good mom or dad? I think if you have it together mentally then you know you are. Sometimes we don't know just what kind of a parent we were and are until they grow up and are on their own. You can also be the best parent in the world and have your kids turn out completely opposite  of your parenting job. All the love you have at times just doesn't help. Personally I believe it's the foundation which is set early on. Kids may wander from your beliefs, your role modeling, work ethics, and all that right and wrong stuff we teach them, but as they develop and encounter peer pressure, get out into the world, well they just end up doing what they want to do as individuals.
We all know about rotten parents and wonder when we know a kids story, how did his kid turn out so good? They just decided not to be what and who they saw in their own parents. Good for them for standing up for a better life. I sometimes think it's those kids who are more thankful for the successes in life. Those kids more or less do it on their own.
To all of those Good, Responsible and Wonderful Parents, the world is a better place. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, live long and...well you already have prospered.
