A Burned Tree still lived...as in Friendship

Near the end of a Tree Grows in Brooklyn, it mentions how a tree which was burned at the stump ends up living, after the fire it still lives. Is that like friendship? What does it take to destroy Friendship. If atree can live, can't friendship?

Friendship, at what cost & outsiders

Friendship is very important to kids and as long as things are going well, well it's fine, but when something wrong happens, who will take most of the blame, responsibility and what happens to the friendship. Will fingers be pointed at one over the other? Definitely. That usually happens for a few reasons. First maybe one kid doesn't really belong in the community so as a newbie, most of it comes on that kid. If that kid has had issues before, it will be something such as, Hey stay away from that kid, now look what happens, taking responsibility away from one.
Trouble breeds trouble and it usually takes two so tell your kids, tell them again and again, don't let one talk you into something which ends up negatively. Something else to think about: Sometimes kids want a Friend to prove a friendship, as in maybe there is jealousy, so misery loves company. Let your kids know that too if you get my drift. Friendship, no more?

Mormons, Missionaries and Mitt

I remember the first time I told my brother I attended a Mormon church. He did a high pitch sound saying, ahh, no they're a cult! Well I looked into his church and it appears to be along the same lines.
As a person who grew up in New York I felt fortunate in some ways to have a father who was a bigot. I'm sure you'll understand this parents. It's when you tell your child no, and of course they want a yes, so they explore, break rules and seek out the why of the no. That's what I always did, secretly of course. My best adult friend on my block was a man who was Jewish, and my best male friend in school was Italian Catholic and I remember even younger than those days, about ten years old a man who was Spanish and looked just like Zorro on TV, well I was attracted to him, and yes at ten. But he was kind and always when not working sat on his stoop, and smoked, talked to a few neighbors. He would let me talk for a little while, but never sit, said it was improper and then make me cross the street and go home. I was to be afraid of him because of his culture according to good ol', well my male parent.
That's how "I" went all of my life. If people talk against it, I want to know why personally, not to simply believe. So to the Mormons. My experiences were positive and I used to feel a certain jealousy knowing and seeing how healthy they are, and how they live their life. No smoking and alcohol is out. So what some say and sure that's fine, but can't we at least take the positives and put them to good use. I know plenty of Christians who smoke and drink. Check out the missionaries. How many Christian kids and other faiths do what they do?
Get off your high horse, I am not knocking Christianity, but believe in it. Yet when the Bible talks of one faith, I see why. We need some of the other religions.
I used to wish I started out as a Mormon.  I loved the Jewish faith, can't say much about Catholics, just ill informed as well as with other religions except the Seventh Day Adventists, another positive way of life and faith. I lived with the Amish as a very young kid and wished then to stay, a very peaceful way of life with much faith as the number one reason to live how they do.
So now we come to Mitt. So what if he's a Mormon? Go check them out. Invite the missionaries to your home. Sure they'd love you to switch, but that's part of the reason for the work they do. Don't many faiths try to have people swim to their side?

Ron Myrnes did it again! Home repair... the guy to get !!!

Yup, he was here today and did a fantastic job, but not just great, better than some of the regular floor installers. I stared a self stick tile floor in my bathroom about a year ago, and my knees gave out, so then did the floor as far as looking half as-ed. Ron finished piecing the floor together with what tiles I had left and into the linen closet with spare pieces. I hard a hammer, smelled some paste, saw a lot of sweat and a bead of caulking to finish off the job. This certainly was not easy.
Many will look at such a job and say, hey that won't take long, just a few pieces here and there, and I too thought it wouldn't be long. However it was longer to piece my floor together, that it did me to do the larger area of the floor.
My bathroom now looks like it all comes together. Go get im' Ron! Anyone, who needs such a guy, with skills, talent in the trade of craftsmanship as home repairs, he's the guy to call. Don't make a mistake and call anyone else, Call Ron. Here's how... dial 717-887-4219 Once again, Thank you Ron okay will be also hanging out laundry now thanks to you and my new thing a muh jig

I Found Free Money again! Go Get Yours!

Recently I had my carpet cleaned in a bedroom and decided i=on a whim to look up this carpet place on "Unclaimed Property Pa." and yes I did find the carpet place was owed money. It was in the form of an unpaid check and over a hundred dollars. I called and let them know. The woman who answered asked how she could see if she was on that site and I told her. I hope she also has unfound/lost money.
This money on unclaimed property sites can be left for any reason at all, an old paycheck, a utility deposit, tax refund, anything. So go look. It can also be in any state you or  a loved one lived in who may have let you money. You can also just check out NAUPA, all about unfound property in all states. Good Luck.

Boy's Best Friend, Grandma

I know a kid, yup just a kid, and he brags all the time about his grandmother. Isn't that nice. I think most of us have had that special connections with our grandmothers, but this kid, said, my grandma is my best friend. Now that's kool!

Little House on the Prairie- Good old Values

I listened to an old actor, Theodore Bikel   as he sat homeless on his land, now taken by  the tax man and happily so. Yes, just a story but isn't that what's been happening for the past five years or more? As Charles Ingles came to boost the man's spirits, it was the man who lost his home who did the boosting. Yes, times are different, but his main point was we live in best country in the world.
So what has happened to this world ? Values & Greed. We give in to children to keep them happy, make them love us more, keep them quiet, let them keep up with the kids next door and... we need a two parent income. Yet I wonder about that too.
If a married couple starts early enough, sets goals and doesn't feel a need to own a Benz, a three story home, four TV sets, the latest in IPhone, big fancy vacations, keep up with the jet set type of status, they can still live  a very good life. I know according to whom? Hey, just my opinion, and don't forget those eighty-dollar televison packages that would pay a water, trash and planet fitness membership. Better yet, work out with a friend. About that big TV bill? Check out me TV:)

How Short Life is, so what do we do...

Tonight as we settled down, the kid and I that is with the pup, we hear a sharp rap on the front door. It's the neighbor from across the street and I am trying so hard not to feel bitter, but I do, as he is a bully. He didn't want any money on Friday for kid throwing rocks, one of which I am responsible for, but now wants 925.94 to be split between myself and another parent. He claims this is for a black truck, but when we were asked to look at it, I took a flashlight and shone it on a blue/green truck with paint chips off and a greenish underlay. So what's that about?
He also asked me if he was safe, since my kid was African American, but isn't worried about the boy who lives down the street, is white and  a long time member of his family.
I walked back into my home wondering how I can fight this and upset at the whole thing. I know the boys were so very wrong, need to pay, offered to pay and that was refused with the so called man saying, I don't want any money. Once the other parent mentioned he had insurance I think the whole ball game changed. This  "man" who said send him over to me, I have the answer, I know what to do, I'll make him work" and repeated, I don't want any money, what's he got, nothing, someones gonna give it to him? Kind of a back woods person with a drawl, he was so verbally agressive with me, and not at all with the other parent. Now he asks, who is going to pay me, will you get back to me tomorrow, I want my money by the end of the week. I told him that wasn't happening. The boy gets allowance once a month and will pay with that. The "man" said no.
So now here I was and e mailed the people that have more say, as this little guy is not my own son, but a child I take care of who is allowed a certain amount of freedom. They'll let me know in a day what is decided. Chances are they'll ask me if I have insurance too. No I don't, not for this. Then I thought about someone I've been thinking about for just about a week.
I e mailed this person one night asking about the family, how is everyone and woke up to a disturbing dream which I won't go into here. But it was so close to a home feeling. I thought it was about me as I am a mother and this dream was about a mother, and a family surrounding her and the dad in a time of sadness. I couldn't tell the person I already dreamed what would happen. We all know how wrong that is and how wrong I could be. Maybe it was me in the dream as the mom, I don't know. But in this dream, the house was so bright, a beautiful dining room, lots of windows and more and tonight I remembered that dream and thought, how short life is. This crap about the guy across the street is just stuff, not important and so I'll handle it as best as I can and let it go-I hope. Life is too short. right now I would like to move. Life is too short to even look across the street, but never too short to move.

Leppo Carpet Cleaners & George, a Great Buy !

Today I had Leppo Carpet Cleaners, on Queen st. in York, pa. over to clean an old burber carpet. It was thick with a design weaved into it, and a very light color. This carpet hasn't been done/cleaned since new, many years ago.
Prior to calling others, I called Leppo, and after calling others I decided to go with Leppo. Not only did they beat the price including cleaning a mattress, but my carpet came out looking as close to new as you can get. The mattress? It also looks like new and I would let anyone sleep in that room now.
George, who came into the house, called before coming, making sure he was in the right area. There are a couple of streets which have the same and almost  same name. Meeting George was not new for me. I met him about four or five years ago when I was driving home on a snow and ice covered road close to home, and by the fire department.
George was driving the Leppo van and my car, a KIA slid sideways into his van. My four whel drive was locked in position so I couldn't move it. On we went hitting the corner of the van, but my KIA ended to be totaled out. It was older and had a lot of miles. George got out of his van and asked if we were okay. Once everything was settled, we waited for an ambulance to take the boy who was with me to the hospital to be checked out. He had some mental retardation and was pretty shook up, but loved the attention. The electric company was also close by with one off their huge trucks with a cherry picker on it. They volunteered to take the boy who was by now standing with me freezing at the side of the road.
The boy gratefully agreed to sit insde the truck. George stayed standing next to me on the phone with Leppo Carpet letting them know he was involved in an accident, but he also called friends who came pretty quick considering the roads.
George said then, He wasn't going to leave me standing there but would make sure I got home. I did get home. One of his friends arrived and picked me up and drove me home. Gentlemen to be sure, all of them. However George was such a gentleman, the kind of person you hope to meet to put a positive spin on manhood.
More men today could take to following the path of such a man. Leppo Carpet, I am thankful for a great job today. I never imagined it would look so good again.
Thank You, next month, the living room:)

Worried about Christmas & Expectations from Kids

A few days ago a kid came to me and said, Nancy, Can we talk, I'm worried. Looking at him I said sure and gave my full attention. As he played his psvita which was given to him by some adults who thought they were doing something nice as a bribe to make him behave in school, he said, well I'm worried about Christmas. Christmas!
This child is worried I am not "giving" him what he wants and expects. We on two occasions talked about Christmas, the real reason for it, his age, and giving and yes, those parts came from me. His part of it was, but what about me and what I want? What about what you want? If I plan to spend two hundred on giving gifts, and you get four games, you will not be happy because you expect a lot more under the tree. He agrees. Yes, it is all about electronics and greed, at least that's how I feel.
In talking with a few others I am told, but this is the age we live in, it's what kids get! So I have to go along with group think? No way, not this woman. We have the freedom in life to choose how to spend, live, love, worship, lose, win, help or walk away. So why do kids expect so much? Two reasons; their friends are getting it, and the adults are giving it. These kids who are getting these things, only want more, and more and...

Shout, really an all purpose cleaner :)

Recently we brought a new puppy into the home. She's a little over four months old and was definitely not house broken. I e mailed the other owners to ask, but they would never answer. I quickly got tired of her peeing on the carpet after she just peed outside and she did other business too, twice. I grabbed the bottle of Shout for laundry and just sprayed, and scrubbed, well I didn't but told a kid to do it. (back issues here) Those small up and downs really get to the ancient back, anyway while he was away this weekend. I knew I had a lot of work to do.
In talking with my son about this he said just crate her until she gets the message to go "out" or "potty".  Well I kept my sanity, one house pee, no poops, and she was crated most of the time, but when I let her out, she ran right to the door.
Now the point about SHOUT. When the boy wasn't around I just sprayed in into the carpet, no scrubbing(knee and back issues) so waiting for it to dry, I do not see any visible stains. No pee stains, o circle stains of the SHOUT spray itself and no backbreaking scrubbing> Yes, I have an old carpet,a good ting, but also have a carpet cleaning company coming tomorrow. YEA!! THANK YOU SHOUT!!!

Local Author,Zack's First day of Kindergarten (Bullies)

This book was created by a local author from Dover, PA. who made it an easy to read and understand book with helps in the back for parents and teachers. I purchased mine a short time ago and enjoyed reading it. I think it gives the very young bully( who has probably learned from an adult or older sibling) an easy way out to change his or her ways. Showing and teaching children on both sides of the bully offense how to respond, this book works. Thumbs up Christie Cheetham!
This book is sold on AMAZON, let your local school and book stores know.

Neighbors, Men who bully women

How many times have we heard the saying good ol'boys. I heard something like that tonight when a male neighbor decided to blast me about how boys will be boys, boys do this, my son did his wild stuff too,(talking about his son) but first he chose to blast me, a female, not go to the other boy's home first and try to be all manly and blast the other boy's father, nah...he needed to, blow up and unload, as he told me later. Ahh , good for him. What a man. What every woman wants ina husband, a brother, friend or male role model.
Sure the kids are happy now, no legal trouble as the guy wanted to keep it between the adults and parents, or guardians. It also turned out he didn't want money for what he said was damage to his truck, but he was being a nice guy as he wanted them twice before. Why didn't he tell me the first time?

I've dealt with this Man, I say loosely, once before with another boy, and once when his wife was scratched by a cat and he came on my property trying to get a wild cat and yelling at his wife. Now will you listen to me when I tell you to do something? She stood there, meek and mild, afraid of his bark. Goooood for him.  That other boy, well the same thing happened. He came here, told me off , yelling to show the neighbors what a man he is, but never went to the homes where two other boys lived with their own fathers, no, yelling at women, seems to be a hobby. He can scare women, and children. The kids of course kiss up to him in fear of his anger, maybe pressing charges for destruction of property. What ever he would have done as far as that, fine, but to come and bully a woman?
What  a man ...oh to be fair, he did apologize later three times and said I just had to get it out and you were closer...think I'll move.

Is Anyone Home? Borders ....

This can of course have two meanings, but for now, what I'm talking about again, yes again, is buying American. Do you miss Borders? I do. Maybe you don't miss Borders if you just don't enjoy reading, or meeting up with friends, magazines, music, educational toys and new authors, local authors who give people some encouragement and don't charge a half a mil to come see them plus buy a book.
IS anyone home? Is anyone listening? I know you think like so many, what can one person do? Well one and one are two, and so on. One can multiply until we bring American standards back to where it belongs!  Or do we wait until one morning we wake up and some guy carrying a red circle flag is telling us when to go to the bathroom. Remember the recent Olympics? Our own dressed in clothes made in China!!!   Carrying this too far?y? Not on your American life!
How many girls do you want to have?

American Made Companies, Shop America

Hello everyone! I've decided to make it my mission to try to post every day at least one American Company, like Bed Bath and Beyond. Now the only problem I bet is, where do they get their products from? While it B B&B may have started in America, if I recall correctly when having shopped there one time, many items were from countries that use much cheaper labor , resulting in taking away AMERICAN JOBS.
So My journey is to research American companies that are ALL-AMERICAN.
The other option is and this is important, swap, trade, barter, thrift stores and if you shop as much as you can that way, you are still saving American Dollars.

Hey Parents, Get Ready, Christmas? Why?

Christmas is for the celebration of the Birth of Jesus if you believe in Him, and for families. If not then why are people buying so many gifts for people who don't appreciate it, and all they think about is me, me , me.
Do you give back during the year, or just take any time you can? What is good enough for some isn't for others. Some are happy to have a home to live in, rent to pay, groceries to buy, clothes to wear and some are never satisfied, no matter how much you give and give and give. Any time now the stores and ads on TV will be sending those endless greedy messages to children to put parents payroll checks in their hands instead of keeping it in the family.

So do yourself  a favor, make sure you spend what you think you're going to on Christmas for those who deeply need it like, St. Judes, Cancer research, MDA, and many more. I know this all sounds so cliche, but Christmas is for Jesus and Church and families. Spend it with those you love and who love you, even with those you might just care about.
   Electronics? No way!!!

What's Your Passion?

Many people have a few passions. It can be the arts, education, a craft/skill, or they can be passionate about people. Like many I only learned late in life about doing what you want to do within your passions, and then fill it up and let it overflow. Too many of us grew up being taught to get an education,a job, get married and take care of your responsibilities. That's all true, but I don't believe we were taught in a right order.
As I mention in my blog about college, Missionary Work, The Service etc. we don't usually know what we want by the time we're supposed to be ready for college. But it sure is a good time to examine your passions. That takes time. When you meet with a college counselor they, in many cases want you to fill you schedule with a few classes you don't actually need and won't get credit for, but you sure will have to pay for it and pay you will!
Talk it over with parents, friends, experienced business people, the chamber of commerce people who have been through what you're going through, all of them. Please remember how many times you've heard your own parents say, if I had to do it all over again I'd...then of course they'll also say, but I wouldn't change it for anything. Why? Because then it sounds like they didn't want you, and they really did. Yet if they had to do it all over again and still have you, how would they change the road they took? Dirt or blacktop? Follow your passions. That's not in the book.

Ron Myrnes Repairman With a Conscience-York area

How often do we come across business people with a deep sense of conscience? Okay maybe more than I think, but that hasn't been my personal experiences in the past. (except those great church guys) Well this summer I met a guy, semi-retired, retired, who knows and does it matter? I met him by way of an ad posted for roto tilling. A lady gave me his number and I took a chance.
First  and immediate is his name is Ron Myrnes, and his number is
                                                             717- 887-4219
Write it down now and you'll never need any other guy to help out. He also has acquaintances who are electricians and plumbers who I haven't used as yet. So let's get to it.  Roto tilling-Ron charged me half of what another man wanted, and I called around, answered other ads. The prices were close, until Ron came along. Imagine a price being cut in half? In this weather? I love the garden and will ask him back to redo it. This was a first time garden for this family. When I felt like it was finished and told Ron so, he let me know, oh not yet, I want to do a little more here and there, and he did. What did I know, he could have really just did one of those fly by night things and left. I am proud to know a guy who works this way.
I then called him as we talk about several repairs, to put on a storm door, and add an enclosure to my side concrete step. He's an all-around fix-it guy. But last night when all , as a last step needed for him to get the door on, was a small piece of wood, he is explaining he needs to do a rabbit cut, has the router machine home will be back today. My answer was, can't ya just bang it in then or cut a piece from the bottom?
I saw his face as he shook his head no.  Not only did he not like that idea, but explained why to me, how it would end up causing a leak. He is a person with a conscience. You know when you call him as I have learned, it was a well worth call.  A last thought...have you ever had to call someone back for not doing what they said, what you paid them for and they gave you some crapola about why they weren't coming back, who's fault it was etc? The next time your finger dials for a home repair man, remember this, that little rabbit cut, that conscience will make all the difference. Ron Myrnes @ 717- 887-4219    Oh my door with a, like new frame? Beautiful and I am looking forward to more home improvements, Thank you Ron.

Not cooking? He asked if Stove was broke

Tonight I just didn't feel like cooking and told this little guy, we'll go to McDonald's. At first he said huh, did you say McDonald's? Yup so get ready or we don't go. He's running throught the house to get his game thingy and asked me, wait, wait, is your stove broke?
My turn to say huh? Wha... no it isn't broke,( yes he was serious and yes it was funny) I just don't feel like cooking. So now the kid tells me, but you never go to a fast food restaurant. I guess he forgot, burger king, Taco Bell, Subway, Hardees and whatever else we pass on the way back past a time that was meant for breakfast, lunch or supper, like Sheetz and Rutters.

Innocense is Priceless (this came from an e-mail)

INNOCENCE IS PRICELESS
One Sunday morning, the pastor noticed little Alex standing in the foyer of the church staring up at a large plaque. It was covered with names and small American flags mounted on either side of it. The six-year old had been staring at the plaque for some time, so the pastor walked up, stood beside the little boy, and said quietly, 'Good morning Alex.'
'Good morning Pastor,' he replied, still focused on the plaque. 'Pastor, what is this? '
The pastor said, 'Well son, it's a memorial to all the young men and women who died in the service.'
Soberly, they just stood together, staring at the large plaque. Finally, little Alex's voice, barely audible and trembling with fear asked,
Description: cid:image001.jpg@01CD6107.1B7F10F0
'Which service, the 8:30 or the 11:00?'

College, Voc. College , Military or Missionary

Don't waste your money or your parents money. While it's hard to know at seventeen or eighteen what you want to be when you grow up, just look at your parents, and talk to them. Just as important talk to other parents. How many parents went back to school because either they didn't finish or they always wanted to be something else?
YOU HAVE CHOICES ! YOU have to pay back student loans or they come after you. Just when you finally get that job you've waited for so long, in it about a year, the notice comes, you owe....thousands of dollars. How freaking scary is that?
It can ruin your credit! So USE your choices before College. YOU can go to traditional college, check out the vocational schools. We are not all meant to be teachers, scientists, historians, doctors(but we sure need them all)
What about joining the service for both men and women? Have you thought about volunteering for missionary work? YOU get to see new places and I say that with a smile as we know most of the new places you'll see but well worth it. How many young adults do that?  Then there's mommy hood and/ or daddy hood. Do you want to just settle down and marry? That too isn't meant for everyone. IT cost a lot of money and love. Love isn't measurable, not the kind you need for marriage and babies, so choose wisely. This is your life!

Clepping Classes for college credits-Please read

Many people don't know about clepping. When you Clep  a college class, you simply buy a small book with facts about a particular subject. The book is very small, paperback, about 75% small than the readers digest. So you read and study it and take the test for it. You can't do this for every class, but you will be surprised at how many classes you can CLEP. These books are sold at just about any book store. Usually they are yellow, maybe six bucks?
So do you want to spend 400-800- dollars a class or do you want to spend six? There might be a testing fee since you didn't take the class, but its well worth it, and don't expect your college counselor to tell you about clepping as usually once they know you know will most likely discourage you-unless-they truly care about you and your family's finances as if they've gone through and understand the same thing.
As a last note many of the classes you can clep wouldn't be those classes you have to take in order to get a degree, but can be many of the electives, and if you don't clep them you are still paying the extremely high tuition fees. Feel free to contact to ask questions. Good luck starting college, make sure to finish.:)

Makes sense to Start School MId-Summer

No people, I'm not saying year long school. What I am saying is the summer months are too long for many kids to be away from school. Not all as many kids can do just fine with all summer off.
But doesn't it make sense to give kids more time off in winter around the holidays? Instead of ten to twelve days away, let it go from December twentieth to the end of February. Then if you are a person who is lucky enough to be a stay at home parent and if you traditionally celebrate Christmas with younger kids, look how much time they have to play, spend more winter time, outdoors riding a new bike too.
Since we have less daylight hours in winter and kids are brought in earlier because of the dark, which means less outdoor time, less outdoor exercise. Kids need that outdoor time. Also in summer with school, they have a/c for half  a day, and half of that day is used up in school with plenty of daylight left to play outdoors. Come on parents, let's start something here. :) Hey one more thing, you know how too many people are picking up on SAD, Seasonal affective disorder?  Yeah, I watched Northern Exposure too.
Well more home time, less winter school time would take care of that!

Sesame Street Does it Again! Eye witness :)

Today I was at a doctors for children, United Health Care, which provides free health care for children are wonderful of course. As a  person who waits with others I get a chance to observe first hand. I was the only one of two watching what was going on. A man walked in with a big box in his hand. Behind him came a woman who I thought at first was a mom,( could be a mom too) but she turned out to be with the man from United Health Care.
Gently he sat the box down. The receptionist came from behind the counter to have a photo taken from the other woman. I don't know if she was part of United Health Care or Sesame Street. The woman who had her picture taken was holding a book with a recorder and a set of books, all Sesame Street. I have seem some of these books in the office before. Today all I saw were magazines. The children were older today too.
So after the man and woman left, I asked, trying hard not to be nosey, I asked by starting this way: excuse me, but was that woman a book promoter? ( I asked as I am going to have a book out soon) She smiled and said oh no, no no. They gave us a box full of books from Sesame st. It was then I thought about the Sesame Street young lady I met in New York. The receptionist went on with, they are so good to us, meaning both Sesame Street and United Health Care. They give us a big box of books for children who come in and I don't usually set them out right away. Most of the time when we have very fussy or scared children, I take them out and ask , hey look it's Sesame Street, and I show Big Bird, Oscar The Grouch and characters they know. It calms them down as if they have a friend. When they learn they can keep it, we see a brand new face, and tears all gone
The man came back in and handed a load of pens and they all smiled a good-bye, until next time. What a great partnership! Thank you Sesame Street and United Health Care. It's nice to be an eye witness of goodness in this world today.

Dale, Best Carpet Installer Guy around,717-819-7683

A few months ago, I took a chance and called some strange guy on Craigslist, who was a carpet installer. So he was only strange as far as not knowing him. I bought at Jerry's Carpet on rt.30 who are also wonderful people. They sell remnants too by the way. Mine was a remnant and I measured twice. Well the carpet ended up too short. It was delivered by a great neighbor. See I only know good people. OKAY back to DALE.
He and his wife Bonnie are a team who
Dale came, checked the floor which was fine and I thought clean, but it wasn't clean enough for Dale. Dale and his wife Bonnie, started sweeping and Dale also took out some tacks I missed. Dale let me know the carpet was two inches too short, yet he would do his best to make it fit, and make it fit he did.
Dale and Bonnie, a great team, just nice laid back people who get down to business and don't waste time. Usually they can give a price over the phone. He walked in looked around, grabbed his tools and finished in about an hour and a half. He cut pieces closest to where it would be used/walked on, like near the heater and in the closet, and like a perfect seamstress, made the carpet fit. I didn't even see the seams until he pointed them out. I was not only happy with the job but like most people with the price. Quality workmanship is Dales middle name.
He has 30 years experience, so save time, shopping around, guesswork, and put that extra cash in your pocket, not the commercial guy. Just a little PS here, I used that big carpet place off rt.30 east(the one near Harley Davidson) and never again, seam work was a mess. Here is their other number in case you can't reach Dale on the cell-717-417-5971
