Sports Stars Vs. Duck Dynasty

     I am watching The O'Reilly Factor at 8:22 Eastern time and listening to a black(Juan ?) man speak about Jessee Jackson, in an honest way-that Jackson is really looking to insert himself anywhere he can for money.
   The regular newsman, this is also advertised as fox43, so I am again confused. All of this piece started out as being about Phil Robertson and Duck Dynasty's  24 hour marathon where Phil is supposed to be indefinitely suspended. Now as I stated in  a post, consequences come with being outspoken, principles or not, but good for you Phil and family.
      Now lets go to another place, Sports stars and kids. How many sports stars/celebrities have used over and over again, steroids, performance enhancing drugs, beat and raped women, yet earn millions a year with little punishment.
Who's fault is all of this. The American Public=stupidity. The only thing that will change what we don't like is to stop buying tickets, stop buying sports memorabilia, stop paying crazy prices for people who offend, change the channel's, do not buy, do not buy, and do not buy from those who offend.
      The owners of these teams are all saying we, The American Public will take any kind of crap;Let the rape our girls & women, let them take drugs, let them kill, let them drive drunk. let them carry guns because googly eye fans will still pay, they will still watch, they will still buy. Who are we to blame ? US!!!! IDIOTS !!!
      Teach your children. You don't like what Phil Robertson says, Change the channel you idiots ! Make an example for kids to follow. Why do we have so many school shootings ? Look who we idolize-stupid, idiot, morons keep watching, continue to let kids see the same thing.
   I will watch Duck Dynasty and I don't need to explain why to anyone. I won't buy anything sports related that I know has had an influence, negative on the American public's children.
   OH let's take Hollywood while I'm at it. We love our favorite actors, but as adults we need to be cautious when we say front of our children, Oh I gotta see that!. We're adults and hopefully smarter. Teens brains have not developed yet, no until about age 22. So for God's sake, for G_D's sake, for Heavens sake-do the right thing for your kids, and for the future of all kids.  Change the channel, stop buying sports materials, sneakers too after all they're mostly made in China, Love your country, love your family and feet. Make better choice this year. Keep your money at home with you where you have earned it and don't spend on idiots!!!!

Suicide, Good-Bye Kiddo

       I won't mention his name as that doesn't serve a purpose, because he is someones' son, a dad to a little boy and ex-boyfriend who was loved by many, and maybe he was a brother too. I don't know the family dynamics but only know he is dead. This morning he hanged himself and I don't know the details. I only know what is important is, he is no longer here, no longer here to be loved and to love others.
     This is the deepest kind of grief, to lose a child. I can only begin to imagine the depth of anguish his parents are going through, and how do you explain to a small child that daddy chose not to be here any more for you. Suicide is a selfish act, but more important is one of desperation when a person doesn't see a way out of whatever turmoil he or she is in.
     This young man, maybe twenty-one or twenty-two was some years back in a  school for kids with behavioral problems. He told someone he knew me and that I was a nice lady, that he remembered me because I was so nice. I didn't know him when he was introduced to me. All I thought about him was, he was a cute kid, trying hard to be a dad and  good boyfriend. Little did I know what he was fighting on the inside.
     As some time went on I learned of one of his demons and that alone was enough to let me know he shouldn't have children around until he was well, if he would become well. That school I mentioned,most kids do great there, but only because the ratio of men verses kids far outweigh a traditional school. With that, his issues were probably never deeply addressed and yet, I honestly don't know. I only know my experiences with kids in those schools and while they serve a purpose, it's temporary.
    This young man had so many years ahead of him. What a personality he had. From time to time I saw him but never went out to dinner, or had any sit-down talks. There never seemed to be a reason why. With him and his ex-girlfriend things appeared fine...until they moved in together. Then more of who he was really like came out and his issues. I won't knock him. I only wish I knew how we could prevent suicide more often than we do.
    Recently I saw someone had a bike day to raise funds to prevent suicide. If funds are to be raised, it should be to add more back into the Mental Health system. Too much has been cut. This is such a sad day. He was just a kid. Why didn't anyone see it coming? A last thought. Words are so important. You never know who you're talking to  even if it's a best friend, a spouse, a child what is really in their minds, so use your words carefully and kindly. Good-bye Kiddo

Think You know Kool? The Cool Factor is....

       Sure you think you know, and so do I, but do we? What makes the kool factor, really kool? Is it age, clothes, skin, hair, nails, who you hang with, what you watch, who you watch, how you watch or is it just you being kool. Pretending that nothing bothers you when so many things bother you, and trying to be in with a certain crowd? have good or poor grades? TELL ME PLEASE !!!
      I know kool when I see it, but that's my version, my age and how I think, but lets take a kid about sixteen. This is where life gets so difficult at times, trying to keep up with the other well known kool-ites. Does this sixteen year old have all the gadgets, electronics, money, fashion, friends,a car, allowed to go out with an extra long curfew. That's not Kool! That means mommy and daddy are too busy to notice, gave up, want to be in their own kool circles.
       We all, well most of us look at cars, and say, wow, so kool man. or sweet, but no one says, I wonder how many payments have to be made. We look at a new do and tell a person , wow, kool, looks great, then wonder, how much did that set him or her back. Then Birthdays and Christmas presents come. Kids admire what other kids get and say "kool", to each other while mom and dad wonder how they'll pay the bills because they too want their kids to feel included and feel as if they're kool, so now the parents become cool. Friends tell other friends, wow man, your dad is really kool to let you have that, or let you stay out so late. No your dad is dumb. His time to be kool and popular with kids is over with and now it's your turn.
        This is kool. Parents and whom ever may read this, yes you want and your kids want, not need, the most expensive clothes and sneakers to be kool. What is cool is a meeting of the minds, truth, and graduation;on time graduation. You shouldn't use a weeks pay to buy the best brand name sneakers, the name brand Jersey or a particular brand of clothes. If you could change your parenting all over again, how would you do it? Now, do it. It isn't too late. How many kids with Drug and alcohol issues are cool? Is yours' one of them? Just remember this, how many wanna be cool people are in jail? Let your child love him or herself, and you love them for the person they are inside, not who they pretend to be. One last thing to remember...when your child was born, who do you remember thinking they would be when they grew up? Not so kool now is it?

Government takes care of themselves so why not America

      Something I saw and heard on television this morning  surprised me so much I knew I had to blog about this. Maybe I just thought it was impossible, yet I shouldn't be surprised.
      On line sales of guns, all and any kind of guns. In parking lots, any kind of gun, big and small, some which would blow-up a helicopter and the sellers as well as the buyers knew that. All they cared about was doing a cash deal and no background checks
       Here is something even worse. The government, our government as stated by Charles Shummer, New York Congressman reported, a bill has been in a committee for over a year, yet as Shummer stated the NRA pulls a lot of weight.
Well if that's the concern change the bill to read simply, yes I said simply, no on line sales without photo ID and background check. Better yet stop all on line sales.

       What ever amount of weight the NRA has with this issue, specifically on line sales, screw them! If a Senators's child was killed by an on line sale of an illegal gun, would the law change as was a young woman and many other American citizens by illegal sales? We all know how the government takes care of itself, benefits, salaries, pensions as well as their spouses.
      Why are the lives of the American public not as important? It's big business, just like drugs. We do have the power to make serious changes in the drug buying and selling destruction system, but it's business! Look who we would put out of jobs, drug enforcement agencies would drop, drug rehab centers, pharmeceuticals to help with drug rehab,mental health needs would drop due to being addicted, and  hospitals  wouldn't see so many overdoses. I'm sure I left a lot out. I don't have any problem with anyone sending this on to Shummer's office, or any one in public office, as will I.
