Churches, Contentment, and Wanting More

On the way home today I heard a guy named Jeff Manion? It was a Christian station which I put on at times too hear more about another side of things going on. So today's topic was of course about being satisfied.  A question was asked of him concerned how would he answer when people ask, how can you talk about being satisfied, you have money, a big house, cars and don't have to need or want for anything. His answer to me seemed to be out of both sides of his mouth, yet I appreciate and understand what he meant-in a way.
Manion said, I wasn't always in the state I'm in and yes, I have big church who is very giving to those who work for the church. But when I was much younger and struggling my wife and i tried so hard to find a way to still give, even knowing we couldn't afford it. Having three kids at the time his wife ended up being a stay at home mom and finally when she went back to work they were able to enjoy more in life. Okay, so is that telling me they wanted more, and weren't satisfied in what they had? But here he is telling others to be satisfied. He also wants you to buy his book.
Allowing your self to be called a Christian opens the door for all kinds of critics, myself included. So that means when a person is a Christian and say they'll call you but instead ignore you, it's okay because as the sign says, "I'm not perfect, just forgiven". Cop out? Excuse ? Should I remain satisfied because some who said they'll call didn't, and not be upset, not say, I knew it and on and on, only making the issues bigger and bigger inside my head.
How many times have you called, e mailed, passed along a message, only to not receive any kind of reply-but according to good old Jeff, you should be satisfied to be treated as a non person. I give up. Someone  said to me a while ago, I knew you were expecting...and I said no, I wasn't expecting anything. I'm sure you know the rest, don't expect, you won't be disappointed, but I made it sound easier, saying I know how busy people are so I never expect. But I really never expect because I don't like the outcome, especially of those who are in such positions that you almost put faith in them to answer, reply, respond or even tell you, don't bother me, go to hell, but just ignore?
Hey it's all good. I'm satisfied because I think I know people pretty well, the more important you become, the less others are.
JEff Manion as you climbed your ladder of success, I only wonder why you wanted more, and more. Why weren't you satisfied?

In Support of Gay Marriages

How many opened this to see what would be said ? Well I don't have much to say but to prove a point. See what or who's side you're on, all about free speech. If I was for Gay marriages, those in favor would be happy about my title, but I'm not in favor of gay marriages.
If you want to have a union with another person, make it just that, a union/partnership. Yeah I know. People think they have a right to marry. Fine that's your opinion and you are entitled to free speech, free thoughts and living in America ! So honestly, my opinion doesn't count, not one iota. You don't affect my life and I don't affect yours. Just live, be happy and healthy and stop this crap where people don't have a right to voice there own opinion.
Everyone is different from everyone else, Many, so many have been persecuted because of difference, Polish, Italians, Blacks, Puerto Ricans Whites, the Sick, Elderly, Old, Young, Fat, Skinny, Ugly, Handsome and Beautiful, Alcoholics, Drug Addicts. Religions, and guilty by association s.
None of us are without have received some kind of bigotry and or persecution, discrimination. I know the depth of this is different for some, worse for others and still minimal for many,...
.....   so, more important in all of this is to raise your children not to have your hatreds. Raise them to have open minds, to love, care, share and give, to help, to always help.

What a Rehearsal

What a Rehearsal!

Unexpectedly a call came

Sadness enveloped him

And he knew it was time once again

To rehearse and hold up his chin,

Hearing in a background

Oh no, I’m sorry, what can I do

Words never enough, never

To just get you through.

Rehearsal like the choir

Rehearsal like a wedding you see

But nothing like a death

Is enough rehearsal, for you or me.

He knows he cannot cry

He cannot shed a tear

He has to be so strong

Rehearsing without fear

He will face those who loved

And all of those who lost

A child, a friend, a special someone

Buried in winters frost

Standing tall and seeming strong

A last good-bye has come along

Grief endless and pain alone-Rehearsal for a life, a life now gone.

This President Business-John Wayne, where are you?

That old game show should be brought back...who do you trust?   What is happening and why can't we fix it? This is America and we are so far behind other countries, so we as voters need to fix it. My other question is...why don't we have more candidates ? Is it because too many have so many nasty secrets and don't want the exposure. Or are they running to just get rich? You'd be surprised how rich they get just from running. Research it if you don't believe me.
I know for a fact that men in general are simply no longer the quality of men there once was, and no, I'm not a man-hater, well okay maybe a little, but ya can't blame me. Works both ways, so yes I know. Now, men and this country. Where are they? Some time ago at church I saw a pastor, a first, wear his military hat during a service as veterans day approached. Now that's a stand up man. he wasn't afraid of what people would say. This is a guy and  a church that appears to accept you just as you are.
Our country doesn't seem to like it if a man also stands up for his faith. Are you stupid? That's what our country is about, FREEDOM! Find a JOHN WAYNE, Chris Kristie NJ ? But he won't run-uh huh. Where are our John Wayne's, Henry Fonda's, Clark Gables all . Hell even Katherine Hepburn. She was as tough in real life as in the movies-yes, I knew her personally. Sure I did.
I would rather see Justin Beiber in office than the candidates we now have. Yes, that's how ridiculous these guys are. Notice I didn't say men. It's time to really Pray as a nation, and I'm not a Bible thumper as some would think because I said that. But prayer as a nation leads to other things as a nation, a coming together, a solution. We can do it America, find that man. Where's the courage? Oops, sorry ladies, or find that woman!
