P.E.T.A. Where have you been ?

We all know, or most of us know about PETA. They marched for Fur coats to protect animal skins from being worn on the wealthy. That was the first I ever heard abut PETA. Over the years PETA has protested against animal abuse. BUT I haven't heard of them investigating Puppy Mills.
Why? Are they leaving it up to the SPCA? The SPCA does what they can but the puppy mills don't receive enough in the way of fines .

NOW a big question PETA ! What about horses? Not just any horse, but race horses, Are you PETA only interested in the small catch so you APPEAR to help? Why are you not after the wealthy, rich, spoiled who race horses?  IS it okay to  whip race horses, run them until they sweat, run them until their ankles break, fracture?
I don't have anything against people who are wealthy, but against PETA who do nothing to help the helpless horses. Sure I've heard how those race horses receive good, quality health care, great food, fine stables. But of course they should, they earned it by way of running their heart beating hoofs out! Jockeys whip them into wining-or not!
PETA, Where are you? Afraid of the unseen, unknown rich? Unlike celebrities who wear mink in public where PETA will be praised for that public shame and stopping the mink shoulder wraps etc. yet for too many years, Horses are waiting for you. and I'm sure they'll keep waiting!

Churches, Contentment, and Wanting More

On the way home today I heard a guy named Jeff Manion? It was a Christian station which I put on at times too hear more about another side of things going on. So today's topic was of course about being satisfied.  A question was asked of him concerned how would he answer when people ask, how can you talk about being satisfied, you have money, a big house, cars and don't have to need or want for anything. His answer to me seemed to be out of both sides of his mouth, yet I appreciate and understand what he meant-in a way.
Manion said, I wasn't always in the state I'm in and yes, I have big church who is very giving to those who work for the church. But when I was much younger and struggling my wife and i tried so hard to find a way to still give, even knowing we couldn't afford it. Having three kids at the time his wife ended up being a stay at home mom and finally when she went back to work they were able to enjoy more in life. Okay, so is that telling me they wanted more, and weren't satisfied in what they had? But here he is telling others to be satisfied. He also wants you to buy his book.
Allowing your self to be called a Christian opens the door for all kinds of critics, myself included. So that means when a person is a Christian and say they'll call you but instead ignore you, it's okay because as the sign says, "I'm not perfect, just forgiven". Cop out? Excuse ? Should I remain satisfied because some who said they'll call didn't, and not be upset, not say, I knew it and on and on, only making the issues bigger and bigger inside my head.
How many times have you called, e mailed, passed along a message, only to not receive any kind of reply-but according to good old Jeff, you should be satisfied to be treated as a non person. I give up. Someone  said to me a while ago, I knew you were expecting...and I said no, I wasn't expecting anything. I'm sure you know the rest, don't expect, you won't be disappointed, but I made it sound easier, saying I know how busy people are so I never expect. But I really never expect because I don't like the outcome, especially of those who are in such positions that you almost put faith in them to answer, reply, respond or even tell you, don't bother me, go to hell, but just ignore?
Hey it's all good. I'm satisfied because I think I know people pretty well, the more important you become, the less others are.
JEff Manion as you climbed your ladder of success, I only wonder why you wanted more, and more. Why weren't you satisfied?

Montel Williams-Cash Now?

The commercial I saw today amazed me. Here was Montel Williams advertising/hawing a company showing a mom with a child, also African American to use this system if you need money before you get paid. He's rich! I'm sure the people were models, but how does he do this commercial? If people can't make it through a pay day, how does it help to have to pay that company and extra twenty per hundred on each pay day. No, I don't know the exact amount they charge, but why would he do that? Will young single African American moms who love and believe Montel run to this new way of banking, aka pay day loans? Well not so new. Many knows these types years ago as loan sharks and I know it really doesn't have anything to do with color, it has to do with being desperate. Montel is this your character?

Who should pay more in taxes?

Yes, such a touchy subject and there are a few ways to look at it. Thank goodness I'm not running for anything, or from anything.
    1. Do we tax the poor as much as anyone else?
    2. Do we tax the wealthy because they can afford it ?
    3. Then there's the middle class, what ever that is...so do we find a dividing line and tax them accordingly?

   1.   First the poor are already poor so why tax them at all? Taxing them only makes it harder, then they have to get food stamps, help from other state and county resources, so they get it all back from the government anyway. So why not simplify it by not taxing them, yet also no free handouts, unless and it has to be on an individual basis, so unless a job is lost, health issues arise and how ever they need to ask, have to have proof of such issues.

    2.  The wealthy are already so wealthy, it's very possible they don't even feel a huge sum being taxed, yet they try to hide it in tax shelters, overseas accounts, gifts by the end of a year and more I'm sure. So what do we do? The government should offer specific tax shelters of a sort. I don't believe the wealthy should pay more because they have earned it so they get penalized because they knew how to make money or a family member gave them an inheritance? Don't get mad, find an answer. This is only my opinion. SPECIFIC TAX SHELTERS and maybe that's not the correct working.  But have the wealthy/rich donate to the poor as far as food banks, heating resources, home repairs, yes the poor do have homes, offer a work program, build business to assist the poor in getting a keeping a job.
Many welfare receiptients  are on welfare because their parents were and that is the worse case of recycling I ever heard of.  The government can come up with a scale on reducing taxes as every rich person or company donates to improve the countries poor, not give out money, but create businesses, pay for college for a mom or dad or both. My way keeps the money here in the United States.
Kids today get grants and loans, have for years, yet they too fall into a place of parents making just a little over a line to get those grants and loans. That stuff is measured by how much a parent earns until a young adult reaches the age of twenty-four, unless he or she can prove they are independent of parents.
      3. The middle Class...again who are the middle class? If I don't know that how do I answer? I think they get penalized more than anyone and end up being the working poor, barely making it, scraping by, losing the homes they worked so hard for, selling possessions and it seems endless. We rally have to be responsible for changes in our country and that comes to votes, and every two years you can change how you voted when your representative isn't doing what they promised to do. Have a nice Labor Day...you probably earned it!
