Fear Of Christianity

Last year I had a child in an alternative school. This was an exploration by the district to see where a child belongs who has so many issues, along with having autism. They are the experts I was reminded as we have now passed over a year with him being in too many schools, and too many programs, but he knew as long as I had hope so would he. Here is where God came in.
I told him at the start he can pray before school, pray before bowling, pray at meals and before bedtime, pray anytime he wanted to and even in school. We bought many Christian movies which he loved, having barely been exposed to religious education prior to living with me. He wasn't sure about God, if he believed in him or not, had all of the same questions many of us have and the biggest one was, "how do I know God is really real, I mean how can you prove it he said to me."
My answers were things like, look in the mirror, we are all miracles simply by being born and it progressed from there. I don't think a scientist  way back when could have created birth, sleep, waking up and all forms of  life in general. So he started to pray and would ask me to pray for him, would whisper in my ear at the bowling alley, "will you pray for me ?"
Now it comes to this alternative school. I bought him a cross and yes I was worried about the chain, but it seemed a teacher was more worried about what was on the chain, that symbol, that shiny cross. He was proud of it and I did warn him, some may tell him he has to remove it or hide it. He asked me what to do and I told him to do what he thought was right. He asked what if I get in trouble and I told him, you won't be in trouble at home. He came home that day with the cross tucked inside his shirt. His teacher told him it would be better if he wore it inside his shirt, and more which he didn't understand, so no one would see it. Political Correctness? Bull! It was FEAR .

He didn't want to have an unhappy teacher that day so he did as she suggested, and he came home disappointed.                               What is the FEAR???
Is the fear that it's contagious? if so, then that's something I would want a whole school of misbehaved kids to catch.  Here we are the land of the free, ---with restrictions. Sundays were days of open door churches, now  too many are locked, destroyed, abandoned, sold to other religons and or communities. People will go in and steal instead of praying, all fears churches have, but the faith is the biggest fear. Christianity in many homes was right up there with the law. Do wrong and you will be punished. Now it's wrong to simply show you're a Christian.
Yet other faiths can close down a NEW YORK CITY street, now want their faith acknowledged in schools and have come to this country, this country which has an open heart, but they, yes they are trying to take over our beliefs and believe it or not-this all started with freedom. Madelene M Ohare's freedom to fight prayer in school, fight for something she didn't believe in, fight for something she was afraid of. So if we had one woman, one atheist woman able to take prayer from schools, what do you think people from another country will do? Imagine if their laws applied here as they are trying to accomplish in other countries?
They are trying to enforce their religious law in other countries because they are AFRAID of CHRISTIANITY. Look what is done to people of the Christian faith who are visiting and helping in other countries !!!  Look at London, who "they" are trying to enforce the religious law from the country "they" left !  Christianity should not be feared but embraced. I bet many of us wished old Madeleine she was alive now and we can send her up front to "them" and she can join "them". All because of FEAR. I have one last thiing to mention,
                                  "ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS !"

Logan's 4 Steaks York Pa.

Today I had lunch at Logan's, off white street in York. I prefer to go in the off hours, less crowded, more relaxed and not as noisy. To be honest even when I have gone during regular dinner hours, it's isn't as noisy as another steakhouse in town. So for comparison, that other Steak house, well, it appears from my PAST experiences, the servers never have enough quality time to attend to orders and diners.
At Logan's, having been there many different times, observing all servers and managers, I see a place where I want to take my favorite people to, family and friends. It's peaceful, has a bar which I haven't ever seen anyone get out of order, or even drunk. This is truly a family restaurant, but also  a place where a bunch of guys or gals...did I say gals? Yes, where they would want to meet, hang out, have chicken, steak, a burger, beer and anything else that whets their appetite.
There is also a meeting room in the back, for parties and any function you might want. I now feel like a personal representative for Logan's :) But I'm one of those people who have lived  on the East coast most of my life and lived also on the West Coast. Having visited the mid-west too, I am sooo serious when I say you won't be sorry when you dine at Logan's. It isn't just the service which is great, but the management and whatever happens in the kitchen is to, well order and savor slowly.
I am thankful to the management, servers and cooks for making my experiences as good as they are. A last note, another observation. Children. I have had a few different kids in as visitors etc, and they too are treated as if they're picking up the tab. Servers make eye contact with them, make helpful suggestions and the kids love that attention just as much as the adults do. So when you have a server anywhere take care of them as they do you. Should you ever get a poor meal item , it isn't their fault, so again if you can afford to go out to eat...well remember the server.

Chris Brown's Artsy Views

Yes, one of many comments and who cares, right? His neighbors care, that's who. But I don't care because it's his home and who has a right to tell him what to do on his own home. This is America. If you don't want to worry about a person painting Graffiti on their home, then you move! Go to a secluded property. If you live where he lives you can afford it!
I am sick of neighbors being so critical about another persons property. I know, I've been there. My issues were however different. I bought a small home to raise my children in and from the first day was asked, then told I was the only single lady on the block. From there it progresses to how long I let my grass grow.
Did anyone, one person ask, can I help? No, Not at all. These good Christan neighbors were only concerned about how things "LOOKED"! They also didn't just come over with a mowing tractor and mow out of the goodness of their Christian hearts. But what they did do, one lady in particular was complain to the township! Thank you KElly F.
First I got a call about how long my grass was. I explained my situation to no avail.(Medical) After that phone call which I found out was not an ordinance, about the length of grass, I went to sit down at my living room window. Guess who I saw next? It was a township car slowly cruising past my home, almost stopping and I see this nosey woman taking in every blade. She was the same woman who told me who the nice lady was who reported my grass and followed it up with a letter. That same lady also worked in the township building.
I waited about seven minutes and then called the township. After telling her who I was, I asked what right does she have to snoop in a township, taxpayer car. Now get this. She said, well I wasn't snooping, I was just driving by on my way home from lunch. LIAR! I told her-no you had to go out of your way to come into this development(with a dead-end street) and drive past my home on an opposite side of the street. It ended with me telling her, I'll mow when I can afford it and am well enough.
I have to say I ended up spiting people by letting it grow about four feet high.
That was a funny day. When this guy came to mow, the type of mower he used looked like a  helicopter coming over  the mountain on MASH and boy did neighbors come out to watch. I couldn't believe it. They never came out to ask if I was okay, if I needed help, could they do something. No, just to either look or complain, and right across the street lived a church Choir directer who also stood outside with wife and kids to stare at the great mowing!
By the way, my issues at the time was, I just had a second back surgery , about to have a third and of course finances. I had a deep slope so no, I wouldn't let my very young children mow either. I was new to this area and that time set the stage for me in knowing who my neighbors really are, so leave Chris Brown alone. It's paint. That's all it is and unless he just wants to annoy with Graffiti, who cares? Live your life and let him live his, and just maybe, walk over and let him know how artistic you find his art. He does paint more than just that you know. Be more concerned with what's on the inside of your heart than the outside of his home.
A last note here. I have become friendly with a neighbor immediately next door to me and very nice friends with one family who came here from another part of the state. I hired their boys to mow for me:) But that last family have always been there for me if I needed and even when I didn't. Now that's a neighbor!
