Ladies, Vocal Fry Voice, Pretense

      As I listened to a woman this morning talk about water contamination, she suddenly sounded different almost like she had a scratchy voice, but she didn't. This is what's known as vocal fry voice and it is usually women, younger women who do it. There are some older women, but not many. These are young women who feel that if they lower their voice, they sound more important and smarter. Rarely young men also do it-What the hell is wrong with them ?
    I just finished telling a young lady who was visiting about this. She said she never heard of it. While we were having a relaxed chat she sounded like anyone else. Then it happened. She started talking about the reason she was here, a professional reason and her voice dropped. Is this a sign of insecurity ? You have to lower your voice to sound scratchy? Why? You know your job, career, position and you get paid. Stop the pretense ! You don't sound smarter and more intelligent. You sound annoying. You sound like you maybe have a sore throat. The problem is you switch it off and on. Remember Vocal FRY voice. Bottom line, you are a fake !

Lonely Teenager, A Poem a day...

   Lonely Teenager

 

He walked with shoulder's slumped down

 a Hoodie, now known on his head

He seemed to stand out more than others

yet felt like he was dead.

 

She was different than her friends

who teased her all day long

they said she never really knew

how to, sing their song.

 

They said he never was quite like them

that he looked funny too

and he even talked weird to people

but he was just lonely, like you.

 

They said she wore her hair so long

 and she walked her kind of gait

so they never bothered to ever know

her inside, her love of faith.

 

Next time you see a kid so weird

and doesn't seem like you

take the time to be a friend

That's what really counts too.

 

Look inside yourself, in the mirror today

look past the eyes you see, your clothes for the day

look past the friends who are just fake, walking on popular street

and take another look at those, who really don't want to compete.

Look and look again

Be honest with who you are

Open up the palm of your hand

Get to know the person, see the shining star.

Dump SETH GROVE- Keep ACOSTA

      PA. representative Seth Grove who I met one time and even then couldn't be up front with a kid, voted for the gas hike in PA. the highest in the nation as it was announced on the news tonight. He isn't making 7.00 an hour. How does he expect the poor and middle income to pay for gas at the rate it will be, and go to work, pay baby sitters, buy groceries and pay utilities along with every day living expenses.
      We will just have more people on WELFARE because they can't afford to go to work. But hell, Good old Chubby Seth Grove doesn't care and he sure did beef up since I last saw him, must be eating well, and yes I know poor people are fat too,, so I am, big deal. It's more fun to call a fat mouth, fat head when he is voting to raise a gas tax to repair roads. Ten or fifteen cents is fine, but 78 cents or 85 ???
       He cannot tell people in Pennsylvania that he cares. He only cares about his own wallet. Next election will be here again, just not soon enough.

Now this guy ACOSTA will not be voting for the PA. gas tax. I never heard of him before, but I know who will replace Old GROVE who is too fat-in the wallet- too soon. Who is he representing ? NOT PA. Must be his bank account and teh good ol'boys.
